People who were abused or neglected strangely enough behave in a similar fashion. Don't think you can help someone who was beaten or sexually molested by a family member by giving her your unconditional love. She will take advantage of you and the emotional hangover you get from such a relationship...

I have a slightly different perspective: Not every guy who claims to be a "nice guy" really is. The guy's side may be "oh I'm a nice guy and I did nothing but good for this girl and how dare she dump me for him" but that does'nt mean the girl always feels he was so nice.

:D You might be an aspie if you buy a new TV, get it hooked up and forget the old one is sitting in the floor for a week. You might be an aspie if your books are arranged alphabetically by author and by subject but all of your clothes are in a pile on the bedroom floor. You might be an aspie if you ...

Normally I roll out of bed and throw on whatever is clean and comfortable. I also hate makeup on my face. It makes me stim and itch my face constantly. It just feels dirty and greasy. I normally wear loose jeans and a T-shirt. If it's winter I just throw a coat on over my T-shirt because I can't sta...

:DI love this thread! I relate to almost every single post!

You might be an aspie if you get dumped by the guy you are dating and you jump up and down for joy because it gives you so much more time to hang out by yourself, get lost in your own thoughts and obsess over trains.

:( I have terrible pain when I go to the gyno. I can't make it through a regular exam. I don't have sex so I don't know whether or not I would have pain during intercourse. But I know it's abnormal. Could it be caused by a cyst I have on my ovary or is it caused by something else?

Thank you so much. This actually explains why I might have had a fainting spell years ago. I do feel like I am "shutting down" due to excessive stress or stimulation.

I would love to know if that's something others deal with and if there is advice on dealing with it. This i...

:( I hate my job. I work as a nurse aid. It is all about multitasking and working with people. These are both things I suck at. I'm going to quit but I have to completely change my lifestyle to do it. I am hoping these changes will bring good in my life but change is still scary and disturbing. Now ...

I got tested and officially diagnosed when I was 5 in 1988 in Oregon. God am I old!! ! I had symptoms before then shortly after birth. I am older than you! I was 8 in 1988! I'm going to be thirty in six weeks. I remember the 1980s really well for some reason. Those were just better days than the 19...

Thank you so much! I have had symptoms since I can remember but never had a name for it. I just knew I was'nt like everyone else. It will mean a lot to me to have a diagnosis. It puts my whole life into perspective and makes me feel many of my difficulties are not my fault after all and don't mean I...

The temper all guys are supposed to have whether AS or NT worries me. I've never seen this guy lose his temper but I'm still a little scared. I lived in a very volatile house when I was younger and will never live in one again. So it makes me very uncomfortable to be too close to someone else. I jus...

Do you have an official diagnosis? If so, where and when were you tested? Did you get your test from an educator, a doctor or a psychologist? I would like to have an official test and diagnosis but I don't know where to start.

And if you have what was it like? Did you have more difficulties communicating? Or less because you understood each other?

I have a fierce crush on a guy I am fairly sure is somewhere on the spectrum and I was just wondering about it.
