I have time and time again made a fool of myself while making a conversation with a stranger. I have never been able to get over that. I am a shy, nervous, guy and I think people see that from day one. After everything that has happened to me, been said to me, I still trying to get better at sociall... |

I think alot of aspies claim to be asexual so they can hide behind it because they know they will never get laid. Harsh opinion? Probably. But mostly true. Nice assumption a little too straight forward, but I don't think you can put a blanket over it and call it a day. I've been laid, had girlfrien... |

I feel most of my friends Ive had in the past were using me in someway or another. I am a generous person, I live comfortably, and I share with my inner circle of friends. Some of them took it upon themselves to steal, lie, manipulate. I remember the first real friend I had, he was a few years older... |

Sounds like your being too hard on yourself. I know I will never have the kind of relationship I see on television or the movies but that's fine. I am happy where I am, I don't have good social skills, and infact, college life terrified me. One of the main reasons I dropped out, actually and I still... |

Better to be a ghost, than it is to be a sheep. 8) Not always the case. I was happier when I was undiagnosed. My flawed social skills we just flawed, I always believed I could get better at it, and work at it. When I got diagnosed all those feelings of bliss went away, you may get better but you'll... |

They Are trying to figure you out. Figure out what makes you tick. There is no mystery here, NTs for one reason or another like to have the small conversations, they hate silence, silence in a room is comparable to how we feel around small talk. Uncomfortable, and awkward. Although I love intellectu... |

I feel that I'm addicted to daydreaming. I've always loved to daydream ever since I was a little kid, but lately I've relied on it too much as a form of escapism and it has gotten out of hand. It's to the point where I'm always thinking about things, even things that are unpleasant (which wasn't th... |

Everytime I've strived for something There always has to be someone to put me down Happened when I joined yearbook, happened again when I picked up guitar. People ask why don't you give up? You will never make it And some days I listen to them, There is simply no choice but to give in I can't help i... |

Do you really think first timers are that much better or do you have an obscure view of your films? I mean if you love it, have been doing it for 10 or so years, you have to have a leg up on the competition whether you'll admit it or not. You probably know more than students who are just learning th... |

Someone once told me if you can dream it, then it must exist somewhere in the universe. So maybe there are "perfect" worlds we are just stuck on this one. On a different note, the worlds in my head feel more real then this one. I find myself daydreaming when I'm driving on the highway, zoned out jus... |

I walk up to people and they don't even hear my footsteps. I say hello but there is always something or someone drowning me out. I try to make an entrance to find a detour. I never seem to get past the fundamentals. I dream somedays about being popular, being noticed. Then I think what a superficial... |

I know exactly what you mean. I try to be nice only to be met with rude off handed remarks. It's very discouraging, I mean how am I going to keep setting myself up for this. Oh right, it's in my job description. Honestly, the people at college was one of the reasons that kept me from pursuing it. Ev... |

I can never get over all of the bullying no matter how hard I try my mind will almost search until I find something I can cringe about. When I hear a good joke or if I did something good it is almost aways met with a past cringe moment. In doing so all I do is stay at the same confidence I can never... |

Don't read too much into the high school experience. In a few years you will be able to laugh it off knowing you are a better, stronger person because of it. The world is cruel but you have already seen 11 years of that no? One more year of that little social experiment and your done. Good luck. |
