Def get the HD graphics mods.

even without mods the atmosphere and setting makes oblivion and skyrim worlds look sterile

You can do silly exploits like jump and run around everywhere to level up bit the game does have a slightly more complicated rpg syatem. E.g. it models two layers of clothing
