Everyone I've told so far had absolutely no response. Apart from my granny who just said "Oh". Thats weird, some of these people have probably responded to every single thing I have said to them in the past but when I tell them I'm mildly autistic they say nothing. I think that is because they do n... |

Been there done that....I have lots of advice. Bi-lateral Mastectomy w/ reconstruction and chemo Take iron (if possible...I still have to take it daily to feel right), take what ever they give you for sickness, listen to your body. If you don't feel you can do a session you probably can't because of... |

Here is an idea...I once read in a book you should stand right up to them and say. Are you trying to hurt my feelings, well it is not working or is that the best you can do. Then just walk away...but watch your back. You may need to practice a few time to be able to say it confident and stern enough... |

Hi, I am old and my son never likes my advice but I was one of those popular bubbly cheerleader types in school so I had lots of experience with this..but that was a long time ago. Yes you did good. She was most likely consumed by fear of flunking the test. Perhaps now ask how she did on the test. I... |

I am no where near the age of person you want to talk with and am such a MOM but...I just have to tell you that I can already tell you are going to be a great adult and a true gift to the world.
You will get things done! Play up your gifts and use them to your advantage. |

Imagine my surprise when I opened my high school yearbook and my senior pic was not there. I tried to give them one and they said they had it...it was a communication gap. Anyway that was over 30 years ago and know what... I totally forgot about it until you just posted. So..time heals all. It won't... |

These days everyone knows someone on the spectrum. I wonder if any of your friends will just say, "really so do I" or I thought so. I think by sharing you will be telling them to cut you some slack and to not get mad at you for "things" you may or may not do. Send them a link with info on what it is... |

I can totally feel for you. With my kids I have gone through the same exact sort of experience as recent as last week. No matter where you started it would not be right. I wonder how many classes they get on how to conduct an initial appointment. Just thinking of all the bad appointments I have had ... |

I am soooo proud of you. Perhaps laugh and tell her about the situation if you can do it in a way that she will understand and not get her upset with you for holding negative feeling against her. My mom passed away early.. at 69 and I so wish she was here to listen to my every problem in the world l... |

So many thoughts to share about your post. You should be very proud of all you have figured out about the world. I would like to share what you are feeling is probably very typical of everyone at all ages and in fact it might be a part of maturity. What else is funny is the behaviors you spoke of mi... |

I have a lot of different points to make to this question. My kids were on all sorts of antidepressants through the years. There were on Fluvoxamine (Luvox) the longest, with a good run on Zoloft. I think it is very common to need to increase the dose as time goes on. I would say talk to your doc be... |

Your son sounds just like my daughter. She has majored in Japanese and when she is home she lives on the computer in her anime world, sleeps all day and up all night. Her life is online and all over the world. Now I actually join her in some of it so I can understand the attraction. I have only scan... |

All three of my kiddos were one big ball of sensory issues. I found it I went out of my way to massage his feet that my son got better with socks and sand. He came down of his toes by putting a weighted belt around his waist. He still wears a weighted baseball hat. I got seamless socks for my daught... |

I can understand and relate to lot of what you are going through. Perhaps consider a program called Reading Plus...google them. I sat through an education class on them and went through the initial testing myself . The testing shows your tracking, comprehension etc then establishes the program of on... |

Hi, I know I don't know any of the real details but consider this.... Don't be so hard on your mum. It is hard to feel empathy when someone you don't know dies and it really does not effect her life except through you. Did you explain how sad this makes you and does she know what an attachment you h... |
