As a poem,it's good.As an idea,i dislike it.While doing something like this once or twice is ok,i think way too many of the members here do "Autism stuff".Autism poems, autism music, autism this, autism that.Seriously....it's too much.Still a good poem though;) |

I do not like calling it Aspietronica.I am not an Electronica artist-i am a composer in general.I have a few Drum'N'Bass and Techno songs behind me so yah i'm in if it's still on. |

Definitely the Banjo.Other than that,i have the strange habit of putting complex, layered pads together into one instrument, load them in a sampler and compose solo's for that "instrument". |

My school system has two "proms"-one at the end of elementary and one at the end of high school.I skipped elementary and i will skip the HS one too-i'd rather stay home working on a new song or reading one of my books for the Nth time. |

I feel like not many of us can truly answer this question.I mean, how can anyone be truly objective about himself?I can't.But according to my mother,i haven't aged mentally a day since i was four, and i am turning 18 this August.Yes,i have learned new things and abilities, but i am still childlike like... |

Still,i'd rather have no autistic people exist than have autistics with the right to speak.Autism,as any other illness, should be prevented. |

Eye contact was never painful for me.It was simply defocussing....It's a well known fact that the eyes reveal a lot about what person is thinking or feeling-too much for me.I get so distracted by those things that i can't do anything else, even THINK about anything else. However, the whole situation ch... |

What are all of you saying?Autism Speaks is wrong?I disagree.Autism Speaks couldn't be more right.Since when are people supposed to be PROUD of their DEVELOPMENTAL DISORDER?Or to be more specific MENTAL ILLNESS?I have nothing against myself for being autistic, but i have EVERYTHING against autism.Sho... |

As far as i know, and i tend to have correct information on this matter, the DSM is currently in it's fourth edition, under which Asperger's Syndrome is categorized under the Autism Spectrum Disorder which is under Pervasive Developmental Disorders. How is it out of the DSM? |

There's no need to use the word Asperger's or Aspergerian or whatever.....using the term Autistic ( or if you HAVE to shorten it,Autie) is not just more correct but less offensive. But than again,i don't make the rules...sadly |

If i could single out ONE thing that annoys me on this forum,it's the excessive use of the word "aspie".What i understand,is that this is an AUTISM forum and not an ASPERGER'S forum.I have Asperger's syndrome but i don't call myself aspie or anyone else, for that matter.I simply use Autistic-because ... |

When it comes to emotions and autism,it's bad news.I am an autistic person and i have never loved anyone-not my mother,my father,my siblings or a girl. When it comes to love,i don't think autistics are capable of love,at least in the traditional sense of the word. |
