Apologies if this is a lot to read about one game but I'm quite passionate about it, Morrowind is my favourite RPG. It has an extraordinary self-referential world culture. Take it's books for example; Morrowind has dozens of short stories spread out throughout the world. They're all related to the w...

Dwarf Fortress (link) is a Windows game under constant development which uses ASCII text for graphics. Despite this despicable limitation, it is actually a very entertaining game. It is also completely free. It has some similarities to Nethack, or Dungeon Keeper, but for those who've never played i...

Thanks for all the replies. I've made up my mind, I'm going to America! Don't know when yet, or where in America exactly, but I'm going to put some cash aside while I muse over the idea of going to the place I see every day on TV.

That's the truth.

Vista's performance guide is inaccurate to say the least, especially where 3D games are concerned.

I've decided that I probably need a holiday (vacation). The problem is that there's no-one who would want to go with me, and no-one that I would want to go with. I'm a bit sick of my current surroundings and I've never been outside England before, and now I want to see more of the world. So yeah, I ...

Nice. Sounds like something Marvin The Paranoid Android would write.

I'm annoyed by most of the people in my office where I work, unfortunately. In my depapartment we have a ritual "tea-round", which requires everyone in the office to take it in turns to make their co-workers a cup of tea - normally 5 cups per round. Sometimes people volunteer - a 5 min break is ofte...

Get more excercise and eat better. That's good advice for anyone, but it's helping me through my depression. Which I've only just realized I had. Every day I've been getting more and more tired. I've tried to fix so many different things, but almost all have failed. I'm a typical AS person who has g...

The root cause of the hostility is that forum's mechanism that gives all posters a tangible popularity score. In that thread, other posters jeered at how your popularity 'score' was going down. To them, it's a method of encouraging friendly discussion and not being an ass. Look at how many times the...

I went out and bought the Sims 2 a few months ago, knowing I would not like it or play it. And here it remains on my desk, never installed. I read some of the manual and immediately the sense of waste was lifted. True story. I also have a compulsion right now to type the following before going to be...

Am I doing something wrong? The Show Must Go on is postage stamp sized. I've got no idea what's going on there, I think I made out an image of Harry Potter there somewhere.

Good tune btw.

Hello Mr. Above Poster, you've articulated very well the problems I face as an adult . I could get away with being shy and polite as a child, spoken only when spoken to. As an adult, people think I'm an ass.

Humour is the only way I can interact with people. By insulting them in a fashion that's not really insulting them, it seems to have a similar effect to small talk. Only it all feels very fake and stuff but it's better than just not saying anything with a blank expression on your face.

I'm offended by people who fart in the same room as me. They think it's funny. It's not. I hate them for it.
