Beats me. Some are locked because it turns into a flame war, but sometimes a thread is locked for no apparent reason.

Well sure, I couldn't be a professional athlete if I wanted to be. But that's not what I'm saying here. I'm saying if you put forth a lot of hard work into learning a particular skill, you will more than likely succeed. It's all about the mental attitude. The best athletes, for example, aren't neces...

I have the same problem. My motivation has been halted, mainly because I have bleak prospects of a future. So if I can somehow eastablish a good idea for my future, my motivation will come back.

I only have 8 people in my family. Everyone else is either dead or I've never met them. So at least you have a family. That's something.

Odds are, you don't know s**t.
I'll cut you up real bad.

This is why I find psychiatrists amusing. Because all they know is what they were taught in school. They aren't experts; we are. I think all Aspies should see doctors with Aspergers. Wishful thinking, sure, but it's just a thought. Now, if only we had a lot of doctors with Aspergers...

Dude, here's the thing. You say you don't have any "hidden talents" that will help you get a job. Guess what? Most people don't, and most people that do end up pursuing different careers. Most funny people don't end up as comedians, most good football players don't end up in the NFL, you get what I'...

The first one, childhood friends but not in adulthood, is probably because once you reach adulthood, there is a lot more sexism, and women are supposed to be "a certain way" or else she is a b***h. You know what I mean. As for the societal gender roles, it basically means when you like a guy, you ar...

Jenny said it best. It's not about the card, it's about what the card means. You could write a rough draft of a message, and it would still be fine, because it's just showing that he was a good friend of yours. His parents won't understand nor care that you don't like cards.

I've been to four year and community college. I'm here to tell you that you should go to the disabilities office and fill out one of those forms and hand the letter to the professor. I have been appointed by the rest of the group to tell you that this is the best way to go. I've done it with and wit...

I was bullied a lot, but never physically. I've never been in a fight in my life. Most bullies stopped by the end of the year, because I kept being nice to them, and they finally decided that I wasn't such a bad guy, and they were actually nice to me. Well, in a weird way, they were nice to me. Nobo...

I'm not sure IQ means anything. I could read and tell time when I was 3 years old, I could do my multiplication tables through twelve when I was 4, and by the 3rd grade I could read on a college level. Guess what my overall IQ was when I was tested at age 9? 100. Right in the middle of the bell curv...

I'm getting more into football now. It can be boring at times, because there isn't much action going on, but there is nothing quite like a goal scored in front of a home crowd.

You got sick from eating meat? Is that why you are vegetarian? Geez, no wonder. As for feeling tainted...??? You didn't ask for meat, so why should you feel tainted? If I had sex with a minor, and nobody ever told me she was a minor, I wouldn't feel tainted, because I didn't know. Now, if she told m...

Sometimes I feel emotionally numb, but it's just a defense mechanism. I don't let things get to me anymore. My family always gives me grief every day, and they yell at me all the time, but I don't raise my voice in anger around anyone else.
