You have to learn to fake it sometimes. Watch one of those teen movies or tv shows you know the type or those feel good movies, the hardest part is learning how to use the correct tone of voice, with practice it all becomes a routine. It's exhausting at first but it works... Avoid people on days tha...

I'm exactly like you, and I have to control myself to not get annoyed cause others aren't like me. I just stay quietly in the corner hoping it will end soon and everyone can go back to their normal lives. I refused to go to my grandfathers funeral so that family would not judge me. In your case beca...

I've learned with time, that by raising no expectations or preparing myself for the worse, makes it easier to ignore and not to let what people say or do upset me.

I tend to recognize people by their clothes, voice or where they are... that means that I will never recognize someone from work at the mall, or someone from school at the park until they talk to me.

I'm soooo glad I'm not the only one!! ! I live in Brazil and what I hate most is that here it's polite to greet someone - male or female- with a kiss on the cheek, even those you see everyday. People who know me already tell everyone in advance that I will not shake hands or kiss or even say hello b...

I have friends (or what I think are friends) but whnever I invite someone to the movies or anything they're always busy, have other plans or at the last minute say something came up and they can't go. When I do find company I end up regretting I ever invited that person, and think all the time that ...

So the question is, do you feel like you have become more balanced socially over time? Everything is still "forced", to some degree. If I stop trying I quickly revert to my default social behaviors. When I was 22 I started working at a Bank, so I WAS FORCED to at least try to be courteous to the cli...
