no it wasn't, and thankyou for clarifying that i have not broken any rules by directly citing those guidelines. i see it is ok to attack an opinion, i guess i'll have to watch out for people who try to pretend that they ARE their opinion and can't make that simple separation. |

i completely agree with the OP. i in fact recently wrote a letter to the offical nintendo magazine saying basically what he said. they are using my letter in next months ediorial and said it's one of the best written they have ever gotten. nintendo have snubbed their loyal hardcores for sure. |

*sigh* You don't "believe" that aspies can be savants, yet by using the same "logic" that you insist upon I can simply point you to the numerous accounts and popular stories of autistic savants being proof to the contrary, seeing as AS is a part of the autistic spectrum. A dictionary, by its own de... |

about the savant thing in general. i don't really believe aspies can be savants. i believe people with aspergers who have savant like abilities would have these abilities if they did not have aspergers. the only thing that may be different is that they might become better at these abilities because... |

i don't care what anyone says or how they justify it. self diagnosis is not as good as a proper diagnosis and it doesn't count. you may as well be getting diagnosed by a doctor who knows nothing about ASDs. same thing, except worse cause people are bias towards themselves and what they want. you hav... |

nice that i am not the only one who has these sort of thoughts.
and heatherbabes i hate when people use opinion like it's fact no matter what the situation as well. but i think it bothers me more with autism cause like you said it makes people think incorrectly about you/your condition. |

yes but just because alot of people like to say it does not make it a fact so they shouldn't pretend that it is. and when people do pretend that it is it should really not be included in documentaries where people are after accurate information only. |
