You could take things into your own hands. Nobody said the government has to get involved. As if the little insignificant things we as individuals do have any major impact on Global Warming. Reliance on corporate power is a little thing, isn't it? I mean, the corporations make life so much easier a...

Well, that's just silly. Of course he sinned today. The nature of being a sinner implies that one sins. However, there are some strains of theology which teach that a True Christian (TM) will never sin, and that if you are not rich, you are not a True Christian (TM).

Just buy a Weatherby Mark V, stock up on rounds, and go live in the desert. Problem solved.

I don't think God cares too much about what form of economic control we exert over one another.

Neither. Fascism is totalitarianism, communism is totalitarianism. If it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, and looks like a duck, it probably is a duck. The idea of the "lesser of two evils" bugs me because it implies there is no "non-evil" choice that can be made, when there certainly are alte...

I don't think the devil latches on and skews behavior, I also don't think animals are anything but natural in terms of the way they interact with the world around them.

Global warming is indeed happening, and many people are indeed blinded by politics. I would go so far as to say that the only realistic solution to the climate problem is for people to start taking personal responsibility for the things they do in their daily lives; legislation is a useless tool if ...

The '60s! Yikes. That was when Dylan was starting out. The grass was, actually, much greener then (not euphemistically speaking) because there were far fewer chemical contaminants in the water supplies and major watershed areas, and the forests were much larger because the massive urban expansion th...

I've met people in absolute destitution - living in conditions that most people would be terrified at the prospects of - who were happier than anyone I've ever met, and some of the most generous people I've ever met. I think, perhaps, the idea that happiness is a general feeling that presupposes out...

It is a ritual. Rituals are very important in that they confirm the religion in time (meaning transcendentality) and in essence (what the religion is). That depends. Often rituals in most religions don't have a specific meaning behind them, they're designed to produce some physical or spiritual eff...

What do you mean by asexual? From what I understand, it's supposed to be like sexual orientation in general, so the controversy would be to say it can be a choice between *sexual and asexual. If what you mean by asexual is shunning or not pursuing sexual partners / significant others / relationships...

I tend to be weird. The emotional side of romance always confuses me and I end up wondering if all women just like to play mindgames with me (I have no idea what they mean when they say "You should know...." and stuff like that). I also seem to have a common problem throughout every relationship whe...

It's generally based on a misunderstanding of what baptism is. I take the baptist view because I find it closest to what's represented in scripture (baptism as a repentance of sins - "socio-political" affiliation with a movement). A lot of times in the Early Church, baptism was nearly a death senten...
