I would like to be treated for symptoms, such as depression and anxiety. But I am content with how I think.
Also, I feel that the most effective form of "treatment" one can give themselves is exposure to uncomfortable situations and to the outside world. |

In a The Washington Post article reviewing a TV series about Sherlock Holmes, the reviewer describes Holmes' portrayal as "so socially tone deaf and brusque that I'd place him on the high-functioning end of the autism spectrum." I couldn't see how women would take offense to being a starter tho, I don't think I as a guy would. I'd actually be more flattered than anything. I think in the sense of someone taking offense would probably be someone with severe self esteem issues. I could be wrong tho. I am a woman, and I'll try... |

Yes, from 4th to 8th grade. 4th and 5th were heavenly, 6th was okay, 7th and *th were living heck. I dropped out of middleschool during the 3rd quarter of 8th grade due to bullying, a horrible case manager, and other things going on at the time. That's around the same time I got diagnosed with AS. I... |

I have, many times. It's never bothered me too much, though. The only times I can remember it really hurting was when it was my brother or father calling me it. Other people who have called me it were just horrible people that I hated anyway so I wasn't that bothered about it. Same here, but people... |

I don't think I'm super "girly" but I don't know if that has to do with being an aspie or if it's just because that's the way I am. I''m not super girly in the sense that I don't really fuss over my hair, I rarely wear make-up (and I if do, it's just eyeliner.) I also mostly wear boys jeans and suc... |

I'm applying to a college with a program designed for those on the Autistic Spectrum, one that supports me throughout college (as opposed to a gap-year type of program). Have you looked at one of those yet? Oh, and in case anyone's curious, here're 2 links to the program: http://www.marshall.edu/atc... |

Do you ever feel like people look down on you in some sorta pity way. Like they wanna help you because they feel sorry for you and/or you need to be taken care of? No, I get people who are simply irritated with me for not being like they are and not doing things the way they think I should. I often... |
