I'd like to share another blog I worte; today's blog ( http://lifeontheothersideofthewall.blogspot.com/2011/06/what-sound-feels-like.html ) is about my issues with sound. It's not so much the volume that I don't like, but it is the fact that certain sounds, such as those with any amount of bass, can...

On my blog today (http://lifeontheothersideofthewall.blogspot.com/2011/06/posing-for-photos.html) I wrote about the difficulty of posing for photos. I'm just wondering if this is something that happens to everyone, or if the percentage of those that don't like it is higher for those of us who are on...

This has happened to me twice now after I have bit my tongue. The first time sound bothered me to the point that I had to leave the vendor fair I was working, and yesterday, for the first time in my life, the feeling of clothing on my skin gave me a itching sensation that I have never felt. I am jus...

i read your blog post to get the full story. it really sounds like she was just showing friendly concern, with no intentional harm meant. have you ever considered carrying some autism cards with you to give to people in situations like that? you can buy them or even make them yourself on business c...

An annoying yet common question was asked of me this morning. At the check out stand of the grocery store I was asked, "Are you okay?" by the employee. At the time I know I was rather emotionless (okay, I was fully flat) and there wasn't an ounce of eye contact. Because of this I get asked this ques...

I had an interesing experience last night. I was working a resource fair and bit my tongue. After that I had a hard time filtering out the noise of the room. Truly it was overwhelming and I was unable to stay until the completion of the event. So, what I want to do know is, have you ever been ill or...

I did a one month experiment by wearing nothing but reflective sunglasses to see why eye contact was so difficult. I learned that, for me, avoiding eye contact is a true reflex. I learned more stuff, but can't remember because I wrote it and I don't remember what I write, but if you are interested t...

I was just wondering if anyone else shares this trait of extreme emotions on anniversaires? For me, these are even harder on numbers divisible by 5. The long story can be found at http://lifeontheothersideofthewall.blogspot.com/2010/09/chance-meeting-10-years-later.html but the short story is this: ...

You're basically just asking who else is nocturnal, I made a topic about that some months back that has become quite lengthy: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt128933.html Nocturnal may be a possibility, but I have noticed that, at least for me, the difference is the sensory around me. I get to the o...

I can understand the concept, but I find it hard to get my sleep during the day (light issue). Granted, when i was living alone (and going through depression), I managed about 14-16 hours of sleep a day. Was the only time I managed to get 4+ hours of sleep during daytime. I didn't have light issues...

I wrote on my blog today about how different I feel when I am up in the middle of the night. The story can be found at http://lifeontheothersideofthewall.blogspot.com/2010/08/stillness-of-night.html but if you don't want to read the whole thing I will say that I feel much more active when no one els...

When I was 5 years old my mom enrolled me in "baby ballet" and I got kicked out the first day because I was totally indignant that the teacher wanted to tell me where to walk. Welcome to the rest of my life. I had a similar story regarding Halloween in school. It was REQUIRED that we dress up. I di...

When I wrote this blog entry I wish I would have expanded on the subject http://lifeontheothersideofthewall.blogspot.com/2010/03/inappropriate-attachment-to-objects.html I relate more to items than I do to people. That being so items remind me of people more so than people. With that being so throwi...
