Is that really an aspie trait, lying well?
I, for one, aren't comfortable with lying at all.
(But I'm not diagnosed) |

Yeah, I know there's good ways for a relationship to end. But if you just drift apart and decide to end it cause the flame isn't there anymore, it's still at most a neutral ending. I doubt you'd look back at this relationship and say it was "successful", would you? And if you ended the relationship ... |

Hey guys, aren't there certain types of map software, google maps, or whatever, that we can use to better see who lives in our area? Might be neat to start one of those.. Cause I live in Switzerland (female, 23), and I don't really wanna search through the whole 135-page thread to see if there's som... |

This may be more a question about the meaning of words than anything else, and I'm probably being too nitpicking, but just wondering... Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are basically two ways a relationship can "end", right? 1. It ends in a breakup (almost always painful) 2. It doesn't end, and th... |

Nice little idea. But if you don't mind, I'm gonna play devil's advocate. I'm all for dreaming about what the afterlife might be like, and I certainly won't say that it can't possibly be like that, but it kind of sets alarmbells off in my head if someone is clearly preaching something for the sake o... |

Whoa, the stuff on that site is really heavy. Is Asperger's Syndrome really that bad? Cause my life isn't all that depressing. I'm having second thoughts about self-diagnosing myself as a mild aspie... So how do you people feel, is what he says true? I'm also particularly baffled by these two quotes... |

What does PDD-Nos stand for? And is there any other definition for it other than "mild aspergers"? |

Not much I think. The problem with my mom is she's too emotional. These days, whenever she gets off and starts crying and yelling at me for what I consider to be no understandable reason at all, I try to reason with her and ask: "Okay, explain to me exactly what I did wrong, so I can improve." but t... |

No, I don't need to be NT. But I would like to have the skills to perfectly pass for one if need be. Anyway, do we have a nonverbal-language-dictionary somewhere here? |

So, anyway..instead of being depressed about it, how about we compile a list for the Aspies after us, about how to act at which age? I mean, when you're older you usually understand what mom was upset about 5 years ago or so, right? Even if you didn't get it at the time. So, anyone up for making a l... |

I have always wondered, if God made 'us' in his own image, is she as autistic as she is neurotypical? Well if you believe in evolution, God made Adam in his image (and took part of Adam to make Eve) , and it kind of changed from there. One must also remember that "image" isn't a very clear idea. If... |

Well isn't this topic kind of opening a can of worms? Anyway, if you ask if Jesus had autism, you need to specify what kind of Jesus you mean. - Do you believe Jesus is the son of God, or more precisely, the avatar of God? - or do you mean the historical Jesus, who may or may not have been a mortal ... |

why do NTs or people that don't understand matter? Because you have to interact with them ? That's my point, you don't have to. Even if you don't have the luxury of having understanding parents/family, or you want to live on your own...there are jobs that don't require interacting with NTs. If you ... |

Interesting theory. Judging by people's descriptions here, maybe there really is certain Aspie-behavior that makes animals more comfortable. But let's not get ahead of ourselves and let wishful thinking fool us. Just saying, you know, the first poster made it sound like Aspies were totally special, ... |

It might also be a good idea to look at how often you should change clothes, rather than how often you should replace them. Let's see...T-shirts: 2-3 days? Jeans: one week? Sweater: not sure, but not as often as T-shirts. Though it's probably a good idea to change it often enough to not make people ... |
