Im sorry to hear about your diagnosis. My mother has Ankylosing Spondylitis too and she has used Methotrexate and other natural remedies to control the symptoms with a lot of success. The good news is that the disease is typically far less severe in women than men but it is hereditary. Good luck and...

Do you have a gifted and talented program in your school? It might be helpful if he was able to do some more advanced work or have him tested and see if he can bump up a grade. He's trying to let her know that he isn't challenged. She's the idiot if she's making him feel badly over it. I agree with...

Im so glad to hear that the 1mg dose seemed to be working for him. Have you spoken with his DR about his response to the bump to 2mg? Maybe the DR would be willing to adjust him back down to the 1mg dose. Hope he's doing better, keep us posted on how he's doing!

Since my son's AS diagnosis last October its been a lonely road for me. We have had many friends distance themselves or disappear altogether once they found out. My female friends dont understand at all and I think it makes them uncomfortable because if I bring it up, the subject is changed quickly....

I wish I could offer you some information but Im curious how your son is doing. My son was diagnosed ADHD in K then got an Aspergers diagnosis last October. We are seeing a Pediatric Neurologist who mentioned Intuniv for my son too but I havent heard much about it. So far, stimulants have helped my ...

.. he cannot stop talking or repeating himself. This could be a stim, by the way. More of a self-stimulating / self-calming behavior. That is something ASD kids do a lot. Since we got his ASD diagnosis Ive been questioning the ADHD diagnosis but havent had a DR interested/concerned enough to really...

Im going through the same sort of thing right now with my son's school. They keep refusing him any services or even accommodations despite the school district diagnosing him as ASD because he "tests so well" so therefore it isnt impacting his education. Ridiculous. After getting the run around last ...

My son's first special interest was makes and models of cars, especially Volkswagon's. I guess it started because his dad drives a Jetta. Anyway, he started drawing the VW logo when he was about 2. He is almost 5 and can name a car without even looking at the logo. He names cars even when I don't k...
