didn't bother posting the rest of it because it was bollocks. I don't have low self esteem, and I don't particularly want a higher EQ. |

My wife and I developed our friendship for years before we got romantically involved.
I recommend that approach over "dating" any day.
Asperger's doesn't suck so much as dating sucks. |

It seems to me that love is something that I just can't experience. I get a girlfriend, but then I do not talk to her for ever and in 4 days she breaks up with me. I do not feel sadness. This has happened many times. Do you think I'll be single forever? It would be fine by me if I was. All I need i... |

The number matrices I do recognize (which is somehow peculiar to me). They do not change, but they do progress to the right of the mantissa. First, I thought this was a direct consequence of the LASIK procedure, like how I was adapting to light/dark or similar. Or what Callista wrote, an "odd react... |

Doctors can be funny, sometimes. I just find it interesting that they would not be more careful when it comes to numbers. Numbers matter. They matter more to me because of my special interest. But getting stuff wrong like this can lead to misdosing drugs, misprescribing treatments, etc. This could ... |

So, going through my ASDS test in detail, I noted the scorer underestimated by ASQ score by about 15 points. Apparently I'm farther down the Asperger's trail than even I thought. |

I know.....in fact there's likely just as many here who are terrible at math. There's also plenty who don't have great jobs or jobs at all as well. I'm just damn lucky that my "special interest" has always been physics and math. And that there is a place (academia) for someone like me. I could neve... |

I've thought about it, but there are so many barriers in my case I don't know where to begin. First of all...my "working knowledge" of medical terminology is all-but nonexistence IMO thanks to my poor long-term memory. I can't imagine taking classes in A & P, chemistry, physics, etc... For one ... |

O.k., give us NTs out here a hint, professor. How do you rebuild trust with an AS person who has lost trust because we've been trying to "communicate"? What should she (us) do? Please be specific and give concrete examples. Thanks. (I'm really being less sarcastic than I seem here. Really.) If you ... |

First off: what do you love?
When deciding on a career, if possible, find one you don't hate doing. Even better, find one you love doing. So what do you love, and is there someway to make it pay? |

Willard is on the money. At this point, for him, discussion = INTERROGATION. He sees a no win scenario. When I see that I'm in a no win scenario, I just stop playing the game and let the chips fall where they may. He's likely doing the same thing. Regarding hygiene: that's never been an issue for me... |

When you say you want resolution, what does that mean, exactly? That's an issue with my wife and I. If I've done something to hurt her, and she points it out, generally I'll apologize and let her know that I won't do it again (if, of course, we determine that the problem was with me). Is there somet... |

I hate it myself. But I have two kids. And I love them. So I eat the pain, and do the best I can to keep them as quiet as possible. At this point, they matter more to me than my own comfort, so it's not, in the end, that hard to put up with the noise, unless I'm already highly stimulated. At that po... |

Do what you want. Be happy. Wouldn't do it myself, I like who I am. But I hope it works for you. Caution, though, as most of this TCMS research is still in its infancy. |
