7 1/2 months left until 40, but stricktly speaking I see myself as a person who can't have a relationship because of Autism rather than a virgin. That is pretty much true. It is not so much confidence as it is competence. Even if a woman flirted with me, my problem is not knowing what to say instin... |

I'm 27 and nothin for me either  Something I will never admit to anyone I know because the ones I know will look down on me for it. I cannot talk to women, and I very rarely get any chance to meet them because A-work a lot, B-too tired at the end of work to go anywhere, C-don't have anyone I c... |

So true, just that the years wore on me, I still manage to pick myself up now and then:) |

So you're voluntarily saving it, so you won't feel a sense of failing. Here's, apparently, the essence of this matter. If it's voluntary, it's not that much of a problem, especially if you're looking for people who agree with those intentions. If it's involuntary, though, it's a stigma in society, ... |

I feel sorry for this guy since he's come on here asking a question and he must feel teased about being a 40 year old who happens to be a virgin. Sirius, I think that you should be better off since that way when that special someone comes along. She will feel much more happy because you waited that... |

I am not proud of it but I am just asking so at least I don't feel alone. I just happen to be a 42 year-old virgin and am wondering how many other Aspies have gone decades without? |

In college, I couldn't talk to women unless I knew what the subject of the conversation was ahead of time. No spontaneity whatsoever, I had to preplan anything I was going to say and the delivery ahead of time. Of course NT guys had no problem with this and did circles around me socially. I could be... |

Well I am 21 and still a virgin. I am an average looking guy, in decent shape but for some reason I am just too strange and cannot hold conversations with women. They really do not understand me. How do other Aspies cope with this, and how do you talk to women? Well if there are any Aspie Support g... |

This will be my quandary for ages to come. If a woman can't be straight forward with me for whatever reason, I simply won't get it. I hope I find an understanding soul. |

tb86, I am 41 in California and have never had a girlfriend. You are definitely not alone and I wish you the best because I would not want you to do another 16+ years after that like I did. |

I want to start finally dating but one of my biggest obstacles is creeping women out, though unintentionally. I have a cold staring problem, which I am aware of and seek to overcome. If you are an Aspie male and have this problem, I would love to read your insight on how you overcame this, if you did. |

To answer your question, I am 41 years-old, look younger than my age and I still can't stop acting like a gawky teenager and dressing like one too. To be honest though, the situation does hurt me in landing a job or getting my peers to take me seriously. There does exist harsh consequences for a per... |

I am in the same mindset as yourself and am worried about losing my 'alone time', if I ever do eventually date. The funny thing is, I am a 41 year-old guy and still have not managed to conquer this way of thinking. |

Unsure if I will ever have kids? How about this? I am 41, a childless male, with a successful vasectomy. I know I don't want kids and am unapologetic on that stance. The idea by itself is too stressful for me to handle. If people want to judge, they will judge but I know what is best for myself and ... |

I have the same problem with random and unplanned meetings. The way my mind works, I have to build a sentence. When I know who I am going to meet and when, I am able to converse ok, because I rehearse the conversation in my head ahead of time. With random meetups, I am not allowed ample time to buil... |
