I definitely over analyze! Does this cause you a lot of anxiety? I always feel like I said or did something weird or awkward. |

I've learned, let's put it that way. I absolutely cannot wear anything "tight." Most of the pictures of me pre-K I am either in my underwear or at the very least have no pants on. I absolutely could not stand "tight" clothing, and I grew up when stretch pants, sweat pants and stir-up pants were cool... |

Yes, I have this problem all the time. I coach a dance team and after our competitions I am extremely exhausted by everything. The noise, all the people, having to talk loudly but when I get home I can't "wind" down. I feel like a "caged wolf," where I need to pace or stim or something for quite awh... |

Thank you for the points. I DO NOT want to cut my mother out of my life. That is my whole reason for writing about this. It's not just about the past but because this continues to happen. For example when I was in college my sister had a binge drinking problem and when I addressed the concern to her... |

I really appreciate everyone's support. It's just so hard because even posting this makes me feel guilty because all my life I have been told that I am the one that sees everything wrong. My view of the world is skewed. I just sometimes think she can justify her behavior because of the money she has... |

I am in counseling now but we haven't delved much into emotional abuse. I was the "target child" for emotional abuse from my mother. I understand why I am the target, I was strong willed, difficult to parent , really I was just "difficult", I argued too much with her and probably the biggest reason ... |

Music sometimes helps. In the past I used to melt down and have shouting matches with either my parents or my husband for hours (not productive). Now that I have learned more I engage in repetitive behaviors. I have jumped on a trampoline or stood in water and let ways crash my legs but since I do n... |

I didn't think I was uncoordinated as a child until I watched home movies of myself and yikes! I was in gymnastics for a brief period as a small child and hated it. I did get into sports though in the 5th grade when I was obsessed with baseball. I started playing softball, basketball and volleyball.... |

Thank you for breaking it up into paragraphs. I was pretty upset when I was writing and forgot about that. We have actually tried to pull away from her. My husband sees the issues but he has a big heart and doesn't want to hurt her feelings. We do try and remain in as little contact as possible. I a... |

I am a female Aspie and am having big issues with my mother-in-law. At first I really liked her and was excited to extend my family. I did have some red flags she was a problem. The first being my husband didn't like talking to her and would actively ignore is phone calls. I had told him he should i... |

I completely understand how you feel! I feel the same way around people. Especially at work. That's the one thing I really dislike about working with people. I feel I can never stand up for myself and say "Hey, this isn't right." I actually coached for a high school sports team for awhile and got dr... |

I'm 26 and have vivid memories dating back to when I was 2 1/2. These are memories I can confirm with other family members. I have all kinds of wonderful memories of my sister and I playing together as a kid. I was obsessed with the Minnesota Twins as a kid and we went to a baseball game where we go... |

Wow, when I was growing up that's all my mother used to say to me was "You have to look at the big picture." I have never quite fully understood that phrase. I am very stuck on details. I'm not sensitive to light but definitely to noise and clothing. I'm 26 and will probably never be formally diagno... |
