I was reading for a bit after my daughter was diagnosed with PDD-NOS. She is currently 17, and through all her life she has encountered lots of trouble at school with bullies, understanding classes, looking people at the eye, socializing with others, and she is usually found locked up in her room, s... |

You know, I always feel like saying "sorry for being who I am, I'm sorry for not meeting every expectation you have for me, am sorry for not being who you wished I could be, and sorry for not being of your liking. I need your acceptance, I need that you understand me, and wish I could understand you... |

You know, some days are worse than others, however, there are days in which I REALLY appreciate being ignored, or being alone. Others--- not so much. |

Give them a schedule, and a time to play with each other, along with a set of rules. Give them a schedule for who is supposed to touch the dog, or be with the dog, and for who should sit in front of the heater, and when. For play time, give them rules, such as if you want this, ask nicely, or if you... |

I am confused by them finding that fun. I know that I would have been having a panic attack at finding myself in that situation, or a meltdown. I always find NT's really hard to figure out. Specially when they laugh at things that I don't find funny at all. Go figure. I certainly enjoyed a water gun... |

My ideal vacation would be one in which I could stay in a cabin, by the forest, where all was quiet (except for the normal sounds of the forest, and of fire in the chimney), where all I had to do was look at the forest, at water running, and the gentle falling of the snow. About homework vs. interes... |

This happens to me. There are times when I get bouts of no sleep, I think that I just ended one of this bouts. I simply can't sleep, and sometimes I slept from around 1 a-m. to 3 or 4 a.m. and from then on, just not being able to sleep, By the time this weekend came, I felt really tired, but couldn'... |

Um, I believe PDD NOS is on the autism spectrum, and it's short for Pervasive Developmental Desorder Not otherwise specified. It means that you have some characteristics of a Pervasive Developmental Disorder, but they aren't enough, or lack enough "intensity" to be able to diagnose another PDD. The ... |

Yeah,I'm having the same troubles going through HS Senior year. Sometimes, I read about friendships between teens, or see the way others laugh, and there are times in which I kind of want to be there, laughing over something, but then, I don't understand them again, and I'm happy being by myself. I'... |

Yes. When you go to the Kindle storefront (in the Kindle), you may look for books organized by categories, and among them, there are graphic novels, magazines, newspapers, scifi, fiction, non fiction, parenting, children's books, manuals, etc. It's something that I truly enjoy, specially since it's ... |

I usually think that. Except that I'm not sure where "home" is. I sometimes feel at ease when I'm locked up in my room, or when I'm going into my mind, and I imagine things, which makes me feel at "home". Strange thing is that I still don't know how to name that "home", and I just want to go home in... |

You may want to look for a book named "Homeschooling the Asperger's Child". My parents found it on amazon, and they say it helped a lot. However, in case you don't find it, there are lots of books on how to teach a child with Asperger's, and how to make school interesting for them. I know that they ... |
