Have you mentioned this project to the National Autistic Society? I think they would be very interested in linking to this resource as it has the potential to be very useful, especially for adults seeking diagnosis. It would also mean more people would easily find it and have access to it. Yeah, de...

Hiya, no worries, what happened is that I haven't uploaded the responses that came with other documents. NHS Sussex, which covers Brighton and Hove, sent me a autism strategy that was produced by West Sussex, so it didn't go up immediately. However, I've uploaded them now for you, so if you look aga...

So, I FOIed (Freedom of Information) every Primary Care Trust (they commission and pay for healthcare) in the country a few months ago, and I've now got most of the responses up. I've already gotten a few messages from autistic people and some autism professionals, so looks like it's serving a purpo...

Hi everyone, just wanted to state that we've got 40 responses to the questionnaire so far, so thank you to everyone who has taken the time to fill it out and all the people who have also emailed me - everything you say will be taken into account in shaping the conference. It's very important to us t...

I usually go to a weekend festival in Cheltenham over the English holiday weekend at the end of August, and the traffic is crazy then. I take it that you're thinking of a different weekend in August? Ooh, I'm not sure. I shall relay this to the committee meeting on Sunday and we'll work something o...

I think the current plan is to have accommodation for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night included in the price of entry.

How will this differ from Autscape? Autscape is held during the week and in July. Autconf will be over a weekend so people who have jobs can attend, and will most likely be in August. I asked this same question as well, but apparently Autscape sells out very quickly and the current organising commi...

Hiya, first of all, I'm really sorry for posting this in the general forum, I couldn't find a more specific UK or events forum. So, there's a small group of us who have got together and we want to put on a conference for autistic people. The idea is to bring all different types of autistic people to...

You know, something that is really challenging one my friends at the moment is trying to find explanations of how thinking autistically is different from thinking neurotypically. Perhaps you could post something about how the two differ using practical examples (if you can).

I had to really bite the bullet to lend him a helmet, and in fact I think that now it has been worn by other than my own head, I'm going to make a gift of it to him for future visits with riding. I know it's ridiculous to be that way, as he has just as clean a head as I have, but it's just weird no...

Ok guys, I don't think you've read the article and I think you're too used to researchers coming and asking you abstract questions that are meaningless. So, I am autistic, and I have just written the article above as a way of conveying how I experience autism. What I am asking of you is whether you ...

Hi guys, one of my friends realised he was autistic last weekend, and he's been busily explaining everything that's ever happened to him that he didn't understand ever since. I've spent a lot of time thinking about my experiences as an autistic person and growing up without knowing I was, and I've j...
