I found that a few sentences described me, but others did not. Well, actually, I found that a few sentences were true of me, not necessarily a great description. |

NTs will be considered as having ADD/ADHD (because, comparativle, they will difficulty in concentrating in a topic). However, they will not have social problems, because NTs adapt to society. That's contrary to how they actually act in autistic-dominant situations even today, though. They do freque... |

Sounds interesting. Asking if people are interested before continuing is a good idea in face-to-face interactions and on the phone or when using IM, but in forum posts it should be dropped.
Those are interesting. I might try them. |

Not (or mildly) prone to burnout or ability fluctuations. Senses are normal except hyper/hypo issues and probably synesthesia. Conceptual thinking. That's how I fit on yours. I suggest logical/hard/cold/robotic vs. emotional/artistic/intuitive. (I think I described that badly.) Some people seem to n... |

You do sound like you have some traits. Partly seconding what Sirunus says, but I don't think it HAS to be this way. If you really want to help us, when you see a "weirdo" or a "space case" or a "ret*d," don't mock them or judge them. When someone else mocks them and you're there, point out that the... |

Not how good they are. Just how stable. If you say they don't change, that's because they don't change; doesn't matter if you can always do calculus or never know what a number is. I'm not asking for how good you are, but for how much it varies. Mine are pretty stable. My executive function predicta... |

That's interesting that you're able to read in a dream...a lot of times people have difficulty with that, because apparently the sections of the brain that are responsible for that are still asleep. (I find that sometimes I can read things, but then they shift and it's very irritating--and sometime... |

Some Aspies find that grocery stores are hell on earth. I derive such an incredible enjoyment from a certain one... I'm really hoping it can stay in business... funny how intense a love that can be. But it does have a dark side: a cafe I went to a few times changed hands. I was so incredibly disapp... |

Some autism has been proven to be non-genetic. Also, have you ever heard of a de novo mutation? It means instead of just getting half your mother's genes and half your father's, you just kind of make up part of the sequence. OMG what?! where can i learn these?! no i havent heard of that.. i'm a mut... |

I find talking on the phone difficult. If the results are promising I might do another poll asking about cell phones versus landlines-- what do you think? (For me, I often find myself listening to a cell phone conversation on speakerphone where I can't get away. This is really, really painful. Incre... |

Are you sure you aren't an Aspie? There's no point in getting a diagnosis if you're functioning, but since you want to understand yourself, there's clearly a point to you looking into the matter. Callista, not being able to make phone calls IS autism. Can you call someone on the phone? (Technically,... |

How do you learn? I learn very well from reading books or articles on subjects I'm trying to learn about. I also benefit when said texts include pictures. Although more neurologically typical people have failed to teach me to knit, an autistic (whose body language I read instantly and easily-- paren... |
