I thought of a better way to say it...
.
Wearing a helmet does not decrease (or increase) the chances of being in a major wreck. Lots of people get the wrong idea when the word "safer" is used, its not safer... but it does give you a better chance of surviving certain situations.

I understand what the statistics say, but statistics can be read different ways. I was not trying to quote the stats, just personal observation from a non-helmet standpoint. In other words... . Can it save your life? Absolutly without a doubt. WILL it save your life? I wouldnt bet my life on it. . A...

I worked as a medic for a couple of years, two calls that stick out in my mind... A guy in his 60's bought his first bike and flipped it, a witnesses indo, when we got on scene he was sitting on the tailgate of a truck smoking a cigarette - not wearing a helmet. . A guy in his 20's bumped a car and ...

100% with you.
If I dont point out injustice, mistakes or bad data in others it will ruin a perfectly good week. I just cant handle wrong info and unless I "correct" them it will stick in my mind and I will obsess over it for days.

I do the same thing. About a year and a half ago I started playing guitar, at 36 y.o. Now I can play a song that has an "emotional video" attached to it and control it to a point. Hands down, the most effective tool I have ever found to calm my brain when it spirals out of control. If you are aspie ...

I cant drive a car, but riding is easy for me. Not really sure why, but it seems that the faster I ride the more my "world" around me matches up with my brain. Been doing it my whole life, 30+ years. I do ride like a nut, and I do not suggest anyone to just "jump out there"- it is not something I le...

Assembly, I know how you feel. I lie 99% of the time to keep people from getting close to me, if someone gets close they might see who I really am. I can't have that. I was born to a very f****d family, if I told the truth I would get beat, not just with fists, but mentally too. I figgured it out at...

What hurts is that I have been right 99% of the time, and never gotten more than a snide look when I am proven right. I don't think I have ever provided info (even when asked) and was belived. I have learned to laugh and walk off when people who have no clue about a subject (that happens to be one o...

I wonder if he is AS. He has a very uncanny knack for picking songs apart and reworking them into works of comedic art. I have also heard that he does not associate with people very much. Has anyone seen him live? I don't think I have heard of any concerts he has done, but then again, I don't get ou...

The way I see it, if a fully functional female can be born with a penis, why can't a fully functional male have a female brain? It is a reversal of the sex organs when you really think about it. Oh yea, I just found out about AS, self-diagnosed with MAJOR gender issues. Glad to know I'm not the only...
