My oldest son with AS always chewed on the necklines of his T-shirts, they would always have little holes in them there after a few wearings/washings; he also still bites his fingernails.
I have always chewed on the ends of pens and pencils and the ends of the legs on my eyeglasses. |

On both Mona Lisa and Margaret Thatcher nothing "jumped out" at me on the upside down photos. For Mona Lisa, it didn't immediately jump out in the right side up pictures but then I "got it". With Margaret Thatcher, the right side up picture is a little more grotesque and jumped out right away. With ... |

As others have said, there were some questions that didn't have an answer I would give. |

I often have trouble identifying what it is I am feeling. I didn't realize that I often relate my experiences very factually to others, without saying how I feel about the experience; it never even crossed my mind to tell people how I felt. People have told me that I am very hard to read, that I alw... |

I was shocked. I wasn't looking for the diagnosis, I had preconceived ideas of why I was the way I was and of why people reacted to me as they did. It took a little for me to come to terms with it. |

I dislike when they assume that I must then be single with no children.
They also seem to assume that I cannot have a sense of humor and act surprised when I make a joke or witty comment. |

I look at these results and think one thing: sub-clinical. Disagree - I have a couple of theories - I do tend to agree with Simon Baron-Cohen re: the extreme male brain and autism - therefore I think that it can be easier for a female (not saying it always is) to be in a long term relationship with... |

Social dancing - doesn't work for me - I could never figure out how to "be led", I always tried to lead and I am a klutz .... I did dance with my babies/children and thoroughly enjoyed it though and now that they are older, if I'm alone in the house I love dancing to good music all by myself |

Are you an extremely introverted aspie or do you prefer to go out and socialise (as best you can) - I do not really enjoy "going out" to socialize; I would say I'm introverted but I can enjoy socializing one to one with people I am comfortable with and I can enjoy going to group situations once I ha... |

I have watched and do enjoy the show, but in the episode where they showed the adult with AS, I didn't particularly like how they portrayed him. If you ever watched the movie "Rainman" he acted a lot like that, just a little more independent. I hope that they will also show other adult Aspies, some ... |

It's interesting how many of us have wavy or curly hair and it seems like many also have thick hair. For the majority of my life, wash and wear, I spent many years with inch or so long hair, it still got compliments, but I did have a good hairdresser and it required no maintenance whatsoever. Now th... |

My son and I have a great neuro-typical psychologist who really understands Aspergers. I have however come across a lot of ignorance among other professionals in regards to AS and it is very frustrating. Love the comment re: hygiene!! !! I have a friend whose daughter is 15 with an eating disorder -... |
