Relationships are slow growers. A Full Blown Siamese Twin Experience With a Stranger is too much to ask for. You might be able to get that as a character in a rom-com but not in real life. Relationships grow so slowly you will likely need an unrelated outside interest to fill the waiting spaces. Tak...

By most definitions I have seen here I have no friends. Due to my fifteen years in a grocery store I have developed minimal socializing ability, what I like to call 'bolt-ons'. I rubbed elbows with all kinds of interesting people. Many were homeless vets, criminals, crazies, foriegners, small/big bu...

Hey, I thought developmental delay only happened to little kids. Adults don't have autistic spectrums and ADD and such. Adults do have Altzheimers and general decline due to age. What happens to the little kids who are the focus of research efforts on the spectrum after they grow up? All better now?

I just turned 60 and I work with a lot of twenty somethings who cannot live without their pocket communicators. They hide in corners while on the clock to text people. There is an anti-cell phone policy where I work, "don't use it while on the clock." Everyone is an outlaw now. I don't like to talk ...

I have no official diagnosis. I've read a lot of books by autistic writers, their families and their professionals. I've seen videos. I've spent my life dealing with social trouble from trying to fit in. My research answered every question I ever had about what was wrong with my life. Nothing else h...

Dr. Laura once said "If you want to build your self-esteem (and no one else will do it for you) do something fantastic and I guarantee you will feel much better about yourself." When I get low I go to my ratty little wood shop and make something, just about anything will do. When I get done with it ...

I appreciate your comments and questions about your emotional state while viewing a dead body. I respond the same way you do if its a person. But I cry a lot if it is my dog. I also cry from frustration, especially when examining and trying to understand some frustration from the 'deep past'. (Deep ...

So, is it possible that I might live right on the Wrong Planet or do I have to continue living wrong on the right planet?

I'm Slogger, I'm new to wrong planet, don't know the protocol yet and may be in the wrong spot doing the wrong thing here. I never give up when I can change directions instead.
