Nah, not at all, knowing South Park. I mean, if they were stereotyping us as being mentally ret*d like everybody else does, then I probably would be offended. If they just mock how silly we/the public can be, like they usually do, then I would probably think it's hilarious.

None of those. It is merely because BP was cutting corners and pinching pennies. All of those shortcuts only saved them tens of thousands, which is nothing to a multi-billion dollar corporation such as BP.
