Thanks guys! I really appreciate all of the input. humanoid5, yep that is pretty much what she IS doing! I am glad to know that you grew out of it, did you have bumps all over your head? Lillian, my daughter, I noticed this morning has BIG bumps in 3 different spots and she has hair stubble there, b...

I was having a bad time, yesterday morning. I've decided to keep posting here. Being here will toughen me up, a little. I'll get to give advice, at the same time. It's just that I've told a few parents, that autism isn't the end of the world, and that might not be the way that they see it, instead ...

My ASD 3 year old is terrified of the potty.. to loud! 2 1/2 seems very late to start walking and yeah, hand flapping is a sign, but a lot of "typical" children hand flap when they get exited. My 21 month old hand flaps just walking around with no emotions. The food preference could go either way to...

Hi guys, thanks for your feed back. :D I knew my 3 year olds was stimming, but that is what you think my 21 month old is doing too, when she is beating her head on the wall? I admit that this one is worrying me because she is "damaging" her head, leaving large bumps all over the back of her head. No...

Hi there! I feel terrible that you feel that way about "us"! But listening to your explanation about your family is very informative! I am so sorry you have morons for parents! I am not sure what you would classify me as, I am AD/HD, I guess I think of myself as a NT, but maybe you would not. Just t...

Ok so this is a mommy speaking :) I do not find it funny...but then again I do not find racism funny, or gay bashing or anything that makes fun of people for what they are... again I am a mommy and feel my kids have enough to deal with. To me it is kinda like bulling on a broader spectrum. Do you th...

I am sorry yor are feeling this way, but I have to say, (because I am a mommy and use to giving advice :D), your situation has nothing to do with you having a ASD and your BF being a NT! It has to do with Female vs Male. Every relationship on the planet goes through these things. Women think one way...

I never hid my sons diagnosis from him, but I never talked about it directly until he asked, at about 9, why he was "different" than other kids his age. I waited because I was not sure he would understand and I did not want to point out the fact he was not "typical" if he did not see it himself. So ...

I like your idea, just be careful. I know what you are saying and understand your view point. But in a way I do understand why the "media" portrays the harder points of ASD. When my son was little not many people knew about Autism and that was really hard. Any public place I brought him, would for o...

Hi there, I know what you mean! Have you heard the country song, It's a different world" by Bucky Covington? That is what the song is about. It does seem to change both with time gaps and just life changes. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister, Us 4 older children were always spanked or disciplined when w...

Hi there, I do not think that there is anything wrong with staying friendly with your MIL. My MIL had 4 boys and no girls, so even when a couple of her sons divorced, she still does stuff with them, and she calls me once a week to see how we are doing and checks up on my daughters. While we lived cl...
