We need to form an Aspie Joke Forum, because, I thought it was funny! You know that version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" played on ukelele? You know it, whether or not you realize it. It has been used a billion times on network TV dramas, when something sad or wistful is happening, like a major c...

I don't mean referencing movies. I mean like in high school when some kid would get in my face and try to bully me, I would repeat something some badass character had said in a movie and expect it to intimidate just like it did in the movie. I wasn't aware of it at the time, but looking back now, I ...

When I was younger (long before I knew I was an Aspie, or even what Aspergers even was), I used to have a tendency to quote things I had heard in a movie or on TV and expect it to get the same reaction in did in the movie/TV show I got it from. It never does, as these things are highly dependent on ...

There's an episode of "That 70s Show" where all the kids are planning on going to a disco the next town over. Red says something like "Girls love to dance. It let's them be sexy in a safe environment."

I have always thought this is a pretty good explanation.

Ever since I realized I was an Aspie about 2 years ago, I have been thinking: wouldn't the best girl for an Aspie guy be an Aspie herself? It seems like we would understand each other's special needs more so than an NT would. Or is the exact opposite true? Would two Aspies in a relationship be like ...

I do have a sense of humour and I usually like satire......as its usually true to an extent and therefore funny. I also have a rather dark sense of humour. If I was watching a Horror movie in a movie theater I would be the person laughing at it. I also really like all the Monty Python movies so wha...

I am always making jokes, and have had decent success with it, over the years. I was the class clown in college, and I still get messages on Facebook from school friends saying "Remember that time you said... That was funny." Looking back, I think I always tried to make people laugh because mirth wa...

Does anyone think there is a corollary with Asperger's? I was very thin as a child and my parents always commented that I was "skinny." Being the literal soul that I am, I think I took that literally, and now, even though I am 6' tall and 200 lbs ( I do around 200 knuckle pushups a day), I still fe...

I never watched the show, but recently I was playing the Facebook WoF game with friends and they were consistently amazed at how quickly I could solve the puzzles. Is that an Aspie thing?

I have at least five different resumes (which includes my CV). I choose the resume I will submit depending on what particular skills they're looking for - mind you, they're all correct resumes, but one lists clerical jobs specifically, another lists teaching and performing/workshops jobs, etc etc e...

Having a long and sullied history of trying to get a career in law enforcement, it sounds like you were given a generic EXCUSE for why they didn't pick you. Since there is no legal requirement for employers to tell you why you were not selected, many who pick who they want will tell well-qualified ...
