As far as FF games go, I'd really tend to agree with you, Tross. I found 4 to be very lacking, even back in my early teen days. I liked the music, but Rydia and Cecil were not well-rounded characters, and the storyline felt rushed. FF6, FF9, and FF12 are what I consider to be the greatest accomplish... |

This topic feels like I am listening to a discussion in one of my D&D groups of yore about the benefits and shortcomings of playing a more roleplay-centric campaign vs a die rolling fest of constant combat... you will never please everyone. As someone said previously, it is the ambiance of the g... |

Mother, prescription drug addict, left her house at 14 to move in with father. Went to prison at age 15. Father, meth addict, sent to prison also when I was 16. I had a horrible abusive childhood, with nowhere to stay and nobody to turn to. I ended up qualifying for government assistance for school ... |

If I had known I had aspergers, I might have been a better mother, maybe even a better person. I feel the same way - now that I know what I have, I can, at least, take a step back from how I father my children and say "I should probably attempt to do some of those other 'fatherly' things that I hav... |

I feel much of the same way - almost everything I feel, do, or say in my life could be attributed to AS; my entire personality fits into a neat little AS box. I need to get that official stamp of approval so that I can stop thinking that I am crazy for feeling this way. I mean, part of me knows that... |

Doctors flat-out lie to you about circumcision. The cleanliness thing is an urban legend, and more of those who have been circumcised attempting to justify what was done to them somehow - both males and females produce smegma, and the production of this very useful skin lubricant is not affected in ... |

Circumcision is child abuse, no matter which way you want to justify it. You are chopping off a piece of an infant's body. Should we advocate female circumcision to go along with male, because it is a custom many places on earth? Who needs labia or clitoris... who needs foreskin? There is no differe... |

Both parents addicted to various drugs throughout my childhood. They were married until I was 6, divorced, went with mother. Mother became addicted to prescription meds early in my childhood (7-8). Went through a number of boyfriends/husbands, one was abusive to me between ages 9-12. I raised myself... |

I've had mini-meltdowns before, usually during times of overwhelming stress or emotional content. I tend to shut off completely and lose the ability to feel emotions for an extended period of time - not sure if this falls into meltdown territory. When my grandmother and grandfather died, this happen... |

You are completely misunderstanding the atheist vs agnostic argument. You have obviously put some thought into it, and like I said before, you'd be hard-pressed to find a single scientist or non-crazy atheist that would assign any sort of certainty to any particular theory. With that said - you don'... |

To the dismay of some, I view agnosticism and atheism as predominantly the same thing, where the point in difference is defined by the difference between strong atheism and weak atheism. Agnosticism is taking a "we can't know either way, there is no evidence for either side" position - a position t... |

A common sentiment from many of the prominent atheistic figures in modern society: "Every believer is an atheist in relation to every other god but their own. I simply take it one god further." It is the height of arrogant self-centrism to believe that yours is the only true religion - everyone else... |

Somewhere between the ages of 3 and 4. I learned from a read-along program that my mother purchased for me (I think it was called Brite), where they would put various fairy tales and fables over the backdrop of a group of talking animals or something to spice it up for children. I was reading Dr. Se... |
