People asking me to explain the obvious irritates me too, but I haven't dealt with that a whole lot thankfully. |

I'm from Nebraska, which I suppose is nearby. But I don't actually know if I'm on the autistic spectrum or not.
Anyway, nice to meet you. |

DogDaySunshine: Thanks, I may ask my therapist about it during my next appointment. One of the online tests I took said I was "somewhere on the spectrum" but wasn't specific and I don't know how accurate that was.
Yeah, I'm doing well, aside from recent stresses I suppose. |

The "Roissy" type is a misogynist, and no half decent, self respecting girl would ever want to be around him, let alone have sex with him or have a relationship. Being a nice guy gets you a lot of friends who are girls, and if you know what to do, this can mean you'll be a better boyfriend when you... |

I can relate to an extent. I've thought about getting married in the future when the right guy comes along, but no kids for me. |

CMaximus: Thanks for the advice. I'll have to be careful about that. So far Rob has been the only guy who's talked about sex with me in a way that made it seem like he possibly would be okay with an experience of that kind. But I'll keep that in mind anyway: I don't want to be taken advantage of. Wh... |

I think he might have just been trying to make conversation, from what you've said here it doesn't really sound like he was hitting on you. |

Totally agree -- I can't think of one case where it worked out in my favor. Sooner or later, friends get in the way. I would say the same for the case where it's a good-looking guy and a homelier girl with ulterior motives settles for being a friend. Eventually she's going to make a move and get re... |

It's a really bad idea for you to ask your best friend to have sex with her. If she really is your girlfriend she'll only be upset by that and probably think there is something wrong with her. (That is, that she's not pretty enough or that you don't love or care about her enough to have sex with her... |

Sionis: Don't worry, I wasn't offended. Polgara and Lene: I suppose it's possible that he actually wanted real sex and was freaked out, or else had me in the "platonic friend" category. Interesting that you brought that up, Lene, because Rob told me that I was "more like a dude than a chick" at one ... |

I forgot to add: I'm not going to try to be friends with him, in fact, I'm ignoring him completely from now on.
Thanks for the input. |

I have been labeled a stalker by one person, even though I was very upfront in letters I wrote about my feelings... and I was confused and am still, in a way, confused that attempts to show you have feelings for someone can be seen as stalking, but I suppose this comes back to not being able to put... |

I was recently in a very uncomfortable situation, and I wonder if part of it may be due to the fact that I honestly cannot understand subtle social cues. A friend of mine directed me to this forum after hearing about this situation, and a couple of other instances, so, I figured this would be the fo... |

Lol! Good point.
I answered "maybe". I'd probably prefer to be in a sexual relationship but it depends. |

@DogDaySunshine: I do go to a therapist, but I haven't brought up the issue of possibly being on the Autistic spectrum. I've never had any tests done. I remember having to go to this physical therapy class briefly in elementary school because I was nervous about walking up steep sets of stairs and I... |

Hello. I joined this community at the recommendation of an online friend who believes I have some characteristics of Asperger's. What she pointed out was social awkwardness (I told her all about some real life issues I've been having), mostly. She doesn't have it, herself, but several of my online f... |
