I pretty much live by Spirituality. It is one of the biggest things in my life. It won't go away even when I am sick of it. Like you blackbird, I like quantum mechanics, energy/vibration, and the psychology of it all. For me, it began some time last year - I think that I accelerated my Spiritual pat...

^ It's British for "..check these guys out, they're having a lover's argument!"

haha.

Enjoy the obsessive crushes while they last. You won't have them forever. Sooner or later, you'll figure it all out and laugh at the folly.

Wow - this is an interesting thread. My heart goes out to anyone in a relationship with a narcissist because I know how subtle the games get - it is excruciatingly painful. What is unfortunate is not that you've had a relationship with an N or BPD, but that because you couldn't hold up your end of t...

Well - I had this problem too. So I set about solving it with some fierce determination. I did everything I could to make myself stronger and more confident and more extroverted. It worked! I was making eye contact and doing all sorts of brave things. And then everyone started to think that I was re...

Instead of 'retiring to your room' to pen some short stories, how about finding a Cockney penpal that you like the sound of? You'll be able to learn loads about the accent and culture, within the context of traditional correspondence, and if you ever do get to go to London, you'll have somewhere to ...

That sounds pretty cool. What are you going to study to help you learn the skills you will need?

Hopefully I will have an interview with a landscape gardening company next week, so I might be able to say that I sort-of work with the environment! I'm pretty excited about it.

Sympathies to you hun -- But I don't think there is anything wrong with you at all. Loads of people place this crazy expectation on us to behave a certain way when something happens. It's like, "let's see who can have the most major emotional breakdown after a sad event, in order to prove how humani...

I know some incredibly fatigued, over-stimulated, worn-out party people that look like hell at age 26. They put the fear of god into me about overdoing it.

Once I pulled a three day party, but it was the first and last, and now I truly respect the power of bed.

^ I understood Johnnie's comments to be constructive.. Anyhow, really sorry to hear that things need to improve, ShadesOfMe. I have found in the past that some antidepressants like Prozac are totally rubbish and don't help anything. Have you made it known to the psychiatrist that you're not really f...

It wouldn't matter to me. A lot of people have a fear of the unknown, and start to feel left out when they realise someone's on medication, as if that person isn't being genuine. I reckon if you like someone enough to want to be with them , then you will see that person's nature through any substanc...

^ And that is how survival happens. I refuse to ever have a child. I don't like them, and I couldn't bear being responsible for bringing someone else into this kind of world. I was just thinking about this quote.. "into this kind of world" .. It's truly my view. But how sad, perhaps to another mind,...

Yeah it's hard to understand the emotional undercurrents of some conversations. I used to be pretty much NT, and I was quite socially perceptive, most of my conversations would be appropriate. It is now impossible to be half as tactful. All sorts of stuff comes out of my mouth before I realise it, l...

The video at http://www.meat.org finally did it for me.

Now all I say at the table is, 'I don't like meat that much.'
