There's a saying that "Trump might not be a racist, but the racists who voted for Trump believe he's a racist." It's kind of the same here. She might not be anti-LGBTQ+... but she voted for the side that is. She voted for the side backed by the Christian Nationalists. She voted for the sid...

It gets criticised because it's obsessed with the mote in other people's eyes while ignoring the log in its own eyes. It gets criticised because religion should begin and end with one's own beliefs and actions (and fellow believer community),but it continually tries to interfere in other people's li...

Discrimination against Muslims. Discrimination against Jews. Discrimination against Wiccans. Discrimination against Hindus. On and on. Way down the list is discrimination against the religion that has their scripture in hotel rooms and hospital wards across the land. Their places of worship on every...

The problem as I see it is that it reminds me of what happens when some Muslims engage in violence. The Right starts asking, "Why don't the rest of the Muslims condemn it". Well, the fact is that they do. I remember one such case a decade or so back when 500 Muslim clerics signed a stateme...

Communist countries tried to ban religion. Those countries are as religious as ever.

As for jailing these people, they'd grow as martyrs and Trump would pardon them anyway.

Apparently there are reports that people of colour at universities have been receiving texts saying they've been chosen to work Alabama's cotton fields and they have an hour to get ready. There's a growing trend of males telling women, 'Your body, my choice'. I kinda thought they'd hold off until Fe...

The problem isn't Trump. His only job is to win. He gives 'plausible deniability'. Trump's not going to do this. Trump's not going to do that. All safe. Vote him in. Except it's not him. It's them. With Trump comes Vance. And Vance will probably bring in Project 2025. He will probably push for unive...

We saw their skill at planning and covert action with those exploding pagers. We've seen the effectiveness of drones at targeting in various contemporary wars. They know who they're after and have the skills and means to get them, but instead we're seeing the slaughter of the innocent. I could be wr...

And an edict was put out to kill all little Jewish boys up to toddler age. Note that this event isn't attested to outside of the Gospel of Matthew, not in any other biblical source and certainly not in any extra-biblical source. On that basis it seems fair to conclude that the massacre of innocents...

It may be the result of a 'perfect storm'. Jesus wasn't in the manger, newly born, when the three wise men turned up. it took time to travel from 'the east', following his birth star. And an edict was put out to kill all little Jewish boys up to toddler age. They travelled far, with expensive gifts,...

I think it goes back to an earlier story. There's an account of Jesus healing a Centurion's servant. There's a suggestion that Jesus had followers in the local Roman military precisely because of stuff like that. It may be possible that these followers placed themselves at key points and did just en...

It's hilarious that they're upset about her endorsement. Trump has the endorsements of, and shared the stage with Hulk Hogan, Roseanne Barr, Kid Rock, Kanye West, and others. They're not angry so much that Kamala HAS celebrity endorsements... he's just upset that hers are better... saner.

An actual Pagan might find what I do to be offensive, as I'm just having fun with the idea. Sorry. If I took offence with that, I'd have to take offence with 95% of my fellow neoPagans who do that. 'Paganism' really is an umbrella term these days. There are atheist pagans and psychology pagans etc....

Biden's heart is in the right place, but as someone once noted, 'The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak'. If they play this right and get the right candidate (moderate, 50-60 years old, zero scandals, competent), it could be good. Imagine the contrast against the QMAGAnon citrus candidate, and...

I'm considering it. Apparently my mother has both kidney's failing. But it's due to decades of type two diabetes. And she's almost eighty years old. And quite overweight.

I just don't know.
