Many of the symptoms described here sound very much like Maladaptive Daydreaming, such as pacing while daydreaming, having excessive daydreaming be a real problem in your life, etc. Here is a site about it:

What a lot of you are describing sounds like Maladaptive Daydreaming. It's a condition that causes excessive daydreaming. Some people with this problem will pace or do other stimming type behavior while daydreaming. Here is a website about it:

What you are saying sounds VERY much like Maladaptive Daydreaming. I also find myself daydreaming a LOT as I go through my day. With MD the daydreaming is often elaborate and detailed, like a book or movie. Look it up in a search engine and see what you think.

From what some of you have posted, it may be possible that you have some form of what is called Maladaptive Daydreaming, a problem with excessive daydreaming. You might want to look up information about this problem in a search engine, and see what you think.

I have also done the same things all my life. I will daydream excessively, pace while doing it, and sometimes act out what I am daydreaming about. The thing is, I don't have Austism at all, not even Aspergers. I believe that what I have is called Maladaptive Daydreaming. This illness is just startin...
