I've been on dex for a few years now (dx ADHD and ASD). Dex works wonders for me; I tried a few others like methylphenidate, but the effects were fleeting and gave me migraines. I have no troubles on dex and it approved my sleep as well. |

Are you registered with your college's disability folks? I don't get on with lab classes either, and like you say it's not the content, it's the other people in the class. Because I'm registered with disability services I'm allowed to run through all my lab components on my own and I don't have to p... |

Nope, it's human nature.
Have you ever slept with someone you were not attracted to simply because you could? |

I think that the choice of weapon isn't nearly as important as the choice of attire. As everyone knows, you aren't really on a homicidal rampage until you're naked, except for a tool belt and light basting of baby oil. |

I would like to see the term NT disappear up its own fundamentalism. It doesn't just refer to people who not on the spectrum. I have several bi-polar and ADHD friends who would argue that. They aren't arguing loudly enough, for sure. The term was created by the autistic community to refer to people... |

I'm not sure how many others share this view, but I quite dislike the term "neurotypical". To me, it seems very derogatory. Because of that, I don't think it represents a good way of thinking about other people. I hate the term because it is so meaninglessly non-specific. It refers explicitly to pe... |

My friend has tried it with his kid without much success and I believe the scientific consensus on diet and ADHD is that it might be helpful to a few, but statistically it doesn't generally seem to have any effect. |

As someone diagnosed with ASD and ADHD I found this very interesting: ASD and ADHD: Overlap and comorbidity
I know that I have benefited from ADHD medication in terms of sustaining attention and I wonder how many others on the spectrum with similar issues would benefit as well. |

As a part of the diagnostic process, I had to go through my old school reports. One of them in particular makes me laugh every time I read it. I reads as follows: For much of the time Dappadee gives the impression of being uninterested, badly organised and badly behaved. The exam, however, shows tha... |

I can understand your confusion. I'm also happily married and I've had a few girlfriends before that. It's taken me a long time to realise that despite this, I still struggle socially. My wife was in fact much quicker to recognise facets of my own personality and habits in the various ASD symptoms. ... |

How about, "I don't fit the autism stereotype"? Because, you know, most people with classic autism don't, either. 80-90% are speaking by the time they're nine years old. Many will get married, support themselves, raise kids... you know, like NTs do. And many Aspies won't. In adulthood, classic auti... |

I don't cry over movies in general, but if I do it can scar me for life. Never Ending Story. The part where Artax is over come by the swamp of sadness. You couldn't pay me to watch that scene again. Watership Down. Most of this one upsets me, but especially that bright eyes tune. If I were an actor ... |

I guess the question is not specific enough. Do you mean NO sex in the Biblical terms or NO sex in today’s standard of living. To me no sex means NONE to take away all sexual thought, and feeling . That's an interesting way of putting it. If you could remove all sexual thoughts, feelings and desire... |
