The things I can't eat and the reasons why, are quite complex. gluten (in wheat, rye, barley and a few other places) and dairy As per the gfcf diet. foods with gluten-like proteins in them i.e. oats, corn and soya. Oats and corn are quite closely genetically related to the glutenous foods, above. Al... |

reintroduce carbohydrates that are easy and are low/no gluten -- suggestion: seed pseudo-grains like quinoa & amaranth. You can cook these like rice, but use pilaf, risotto and paella recipes these are actually quicker to cook than rice, higher in protein, contain more complete protein complex ... |

I also get in a bad mood when people take my water away. strangely i can connect with this. pre-diet, i used to need a glass of water by me most of the time, since I liked to take sips about every 15 minutes. When I'd get up I'd sometimes forget to take the glass with me and I'd forget about it, le... |

I guess I mean 'can't concentrate *visually* on just one thing' Of course, we all have above average IQs which should mean we have better *mental* concentration than most? After all, aspies often get absorbed in what they're doing don't they? I.e. the aspie 'special interests'. We're able to mentall... |

Corum, I am like you, 5 months ago. I had those 'oh my god' moments too when I read something that seems to describe me. I still come across new ones by the way, though less frequently now. What reaction did I get? Bemusement. Irrational alternate explanations of traits I listed. Desperate (fail) at... |

Aspies frequently doubt that the world is real - perhaps it's only them that's real, and everything is a dream in their heads. Or maybe everythings a simulation made by a computer program, a la the matrix. Or maybe they're actually in hell, and the 'world' is a punishment designed to torment them. N... |

although this thread is 8 months old i feel obliged to say that every post on here is anti-GFCF and is therefore completely wrong. they really restrict a wide variety of perfectly healthy foods 'perfectly healthy' to someone who doesn't have a problem with the foods. Also, although foods are restric... |

I lucid dream quite a lot BUT I now try not to, because I usually wake up from lucid dreams, and it can take a while to fall asleep again. Pinching myself isn't a way for me to tell if I'm dreaming as my 5 senses are all intact during dreaming. I had an extreme experience a few nights ago when I cou... |

Jigsaw, I would be very interested as what you make of 'secondary glutenisation'. Since you say you are very sensitive to small amounts of gluten, I'd like to know if you ever experience glutenisation from e.g. chicken or eggs? Here's a quote from a website about it: The most recent discovery has be... |

what I'm not comfortable with is mixing different groups of people I know. As a kid, I hated it when my friends met my parents, when my parents met my teachers, when I was forced to meet friends of my parents, all these confusing interrelationships and not knowing what to do with them. I can relate... |

There are plenty of testimonials on the internet advocating the GFCF diet. Some are quite emotional and suggest that the GFCF diet really does work. I think it would be very odd if all these testimonials were actually based on the placebo effect. Here are 2 examples: "Occasionally, when he is out wi... |

I started the GFCF diet myself and I have been quite happy with the results so far. I've taken care to list all the changes I've noticed since starting the diet, which are below. Day 0 (May 7th) - I remove casein and gluten from my diet Day 2 - I feel unhappy and wonder if it's because of a reductio... |
