I don't think the amount of social skills affect "its their loss". What they are loosing is what you can bring to the table and i know you can bring alot. Social skills act like the grease between gears, it helps but isn't needed. There are to many people out there to get hung up on one blowing you ...

Im kind of surprised my fellow aspies would do this to their police officers. Kinda reminds me of NT behavior twards Aspies. They are people just like us and they do make mistakes. I usually try to set the stage by being very polite and have never had a bad experience.

They seem like somewhat cheerful guys so thats good I do feel like its a little strange though that they are trying to carry on conversations with them. Anyone notice the British flag in the US guys house and the US...

I saw the movie and enjoyed it. That scene i didn't really feel was a put down. Its making the connection to the classic savant pictures with strings stereotype but this board is obviously a little lacking and well organized. I kind of feel its made to make ice cube look like an ignorant crude cop/c...

I have never had a drink or any other drug besides doctors prescriptions. Im 26 years old. I don't remember a doctor not believing me but i have had people around me think i was exaggerating or in denial. Friends come over and are like "you haven't touched any of the beer in your fridge in months!" ...

Some people were meant to protest/advocate and some were meant to get out there and make things happen versus asking. Sounds like you are a maker. To many people want to argue with emotion and i always try to reduce everything to the lowest common denominator with facts or quantifying my feelings. K...

Yea i realized that death=nothing. I'd rather be miserable because thats better than nothing. I'd rather live another 50 years and read one good book or in my case learn something new about space. Luckily for me though things are great so hopefully i won't have to think about death to seriously.

I know it gets very frustrating to try and put myself in everyone's shoes only to find out that most people are not living anywhere near their potential.

Iamsomone what kind of college are you going to? What do you want to study?

I care about my family because they were there for me when i needed them. I know my parents and sister would do anything for me so although its kind of a burden i assume the same responsibility. I was adopted though so that does change things a little. But at the same time i don't understand why peo...
