Christians can do this, they can be quite hands on. Ask her if she believes in the Lord. That'll solve the issue one way or another. |

I'm a spatial Aspie, if that's what you mean; I'm hoping that's the same thing as visual thinking. I can think in pictures, and have used it to great satisfaction in my adult careers. Worked as a Lighting designer, doing visualisation of colour and space, in 3 & 4 dimensions. I used to talk thro... |

It's a stereotype. It's convenient. It's also how Aspies are remembered - at their worst, or the least adapted or functional. They stick out, they're remembered (think of Rainman). My adult life has been one creative job after another; in some respects I'm creative simply because I can visualise eas... |

If you're spatial aspie you are generally crap at maths, unless it's of the geometric kind. I'm actually fixated on design and on plants so I get a lot of stupid gardener comments, taken a while to find people who take urban green design seriously (at least in Australia). I also preoccupied with per... |

You can do design work, but you to qualify in an area. Once you've built up a skill set you can work in AutoCAD in almost total isolation. I do, and do well out of it. Sounds like you need to talk to a career counsellor. |

Methylated spirits in a misting spray gun.. The alcohol evaporates so circuitry doesn't get wet for longer than a couple of seconds: long enough to wipe the surface of your controller. |

I'm as Aspie as they come, and as left wing as anyone I know, and then some. What I want to know is if Aspies are supposed to be a higher intelligence how you managed to come up with some pearls of stupidity like you did in your question. Or are you baiting, to get an angry reaction, so that they mu... |

I had an Aspergers diagnosis at 39, and it's done wonders for me. I grew up in a very accepting and tolerant household, with a small group of longterm friends. Did mostly touchy feely subjects at Uni, and was largely alone so not really subject to any standard hazing, and oblivious to much of what w... |

The absentia diagnosis is a bit like selling it to the masses. Normalising it, widening the bell curve of normal. eg if you cure Aspergers then you lessen the likelihood of producing hyperreal intellects like Edison, Einstein etc. It's spurious but it's not really aimed at the great thinkers of our ... |

Tabekat, I started to write a long response to you explaining the reasons why Aspies have issues with intimacy etc. Then I went back and reread and decided he was probably not worth the energy. If he can be in a long term relationship, can tell you he loves you and convince you everything can be ok ... |
