I've been in college for a few years now and this semester is going fairly well. Two of my classes are really easy and boring (general education classes) and the science seminar I have is kind of fun because we can eat snacks and I knit while people are presenting their research. I'm also taking a c...

If your meds aren't working the way they should, you really need to talk to your doctor (or whoever prescribed them) and get that straightened out. Oftentimes, depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain and for that, medication can be helpful. Just-me, do you think it would help if yo...

I don't know if this is an option for you, but could you try putting the assignment straight into your binder and then don't look at until after class? I used to have really bad anxiety about how I perform in school and just slipping exams into my backpack and looking at the grade later when I'm alo...

When I got my wisdom teeth removed, they used a topical numbing gel where they put the needle in and then they put me under. When I woke up, both my roommate and my best friend were there to take care of me (I don't live at home with my family anymore). The worst part of it was the anxiety right bef...

Yeah, PPR is like opening a can of worms. I didnt have to spend a lot of time in it to see that it would seriously piss me off if I went into it too much... I am also kind of minority, in a weird sort of way, I am mixed race anyway.. I hate to see people harrassed for their race. Same here. No one ...

If I see younger people I know having good, strong relationships off-line, it's really hard for me to not be jealous. Perhaps I am odd, but I constantly feel like I have to be around people.

I can answer from the flip side about what having a boyfriend feels like... I would mostly concur with what other people have said here, like that it's nice to have someone that can make you feel good and who accepts you for who you are (even those parts about yourself that you don't really accept)....

Things I can't eat:
Dairy
Raw tomatoes (okay when cooked)
Pineapple
Walnuts
Pecans

The things that I will not eat are more texture-based... I tend to be really picky <_<

I "party" by getting together with fellow gamers and playing D&D or Magic: the Gathering or something of that sort. I did go to a root beer kegger once with a few friends and I ended up standing off to the side, talking to a friend of a friend about gaming, so go figure.

Hi, Courtney! Welcome to WP. I'm sure you'll fit in really well here... As far as chemistry goes, that's really awesome that you want to do that! I've found that analytical chem (more than the other branches) requires a lot of attention to detail. Also, gaming is awesome. I haven't really played Pok...

I've skipped class a few times before, but it's a bad thing to make into a habit. Most professors won't make you fail the class just for skipping once or twice in the term, but if you don't go, then it'll most likely be more difficult to learn the material, which can cause problems for exams and such.

I just joined here and didn't see this discussion until this morning, but I'd like to answer your previous question, if that is alright. I've had quite a few experiences where I've been able to feel what another person is feeling, whether by talking to them or knowing that something was wrong with a...

I don't see myself as inferior or superior to NTs. I am different, so there's no comparison to be made. I believe it is more beneficial to all to attempt to bridge the gaps of understanding. Quoted for emphasis and in agreement. Each person has stuff that he or she is good at and no two people are ...
