I was past 40 when I got diagnosed. Yeah I went through a considerable period of "WTF!" thereafter, felt cheated, lost. Lots of pondering and brooding followed, lots of trying to sort it out well enough to keep going and find meaning. And as life goes on it certainly wasn't all peaches 'n ...

Ha! Seriously Tom Hardy looks completely different in any movie he is in. Maybe he is a changeling?

I saw the new Star Wars too. Fun enough, nice stuff. "Spectre" was about the same, delicious familiar hash. Mmmm.

Agreed Linux Mint is quite good. I have used it for many years now for small business and plenty of fun/hobbies on old computers friends and family give me when they get new stuff.

OpenOffice/LibreOffice is an adequate replacement (upgrade?) from the MS Wordz/Office.

That episode of ST:TNG where Troi's hot Mom hangs out with whiny little Alexander in the holodeck while nitrium parasites are eating the ship.

Saw The Revenant. Three hours of a guy in a LOT of pain. Beautiful scenery though. Meh.

Tom Hardy was great too as the evil Irishman!

I had a heck of a time find a psychologist to diagnose me. Once I did I had a series of great sessions. Then he disappeared. I think the guy died or went back to his homeland. Recently I was looking for a new therapist and this guy's still on my insurance company's choice of folks, but the number go...

"The Amphibian Man" Great Soviet Russian sci-fi from the 1960s. Kinda like "Creature from the Black Lagoon" but instead the creature is more like Edward from "Twilight". Totally nutso movie. Lots of great cinematography, neat locales (Mexico?), acting, cute effects, love that colorful Soviet film-st...

Sheldon = Aspie, at least in a crazy sitcom kinda way. On one hand I watch it and think "hey this show is having a go at people like me" but then I vacillate to the position "hey it is nice that people like me are on the teevee and they are nice people, kind people, normal in their idiom, accepted a...

Love Q! Sometimes things got a little silly when he was around, like when he was pestering Sisko & Janeway, but they were fun episodes for sure.

When I was a child I was honestly afraid of chairs, especially wooden ones. Hard to describe the feeling. They seemed disturbingly empty or perhaps there was some fear they might start moving. I have read that the phobia is called "Brynophobia". I'd get anxious when alone around chairs. Had a couple...

My "badge" for work sets them off quite often. It used to upset me a bit but now I just kinda think it's silly/neat.
