This is something for a specialist to answer. The Internet will only increase your existing hypochondriac behavior.

The absolute worst thing that they can say is "no". Then you haven't lost anything.

I agree with the camera thing. Take so many photos that you don't have time to be worried about anything else. But I don't agree with the "no time to be awkward" thing. I went to China for 2 weeks and I was pretty miserable because everyone else seemed to be having the time of their life, and all I...

Please protect your hearing. I'm a music major and wear Etymotic Research earplugs. They're GREAT and don't give that "stuffy head" feel that other earplugs do, because they're designed with musicians in mind. You can order a pair for (I think) US $25 from their website: http://www.etymotic.com/hp/e...

Try getting a job without that degree. Let me know how it goes.

I'm going to be honest... I think Spirit Day is (was) pretty exclusionary. It was marketed as being exclusively in support of bullied LGBT youth. Newsflash: there are millions of people that get bullied every day, and a good chunk of them are not LGBT. Let's stop bullying everywhere, not just in one...

You're at school for one purpose: to get an education. Everything else has to be secondary in your mind... yes, a less-than-ideal roommate can be annoying and distracting, but reminding her that you are trying to actually do well in school will probably work in at least some situations.

Once? LOL, there's a reason I'm a music major in college. I can't even calculate a tip in my head.

I have no idea how I made it through high school math, but I'm sure glad I don't have to do any of that anymore.

I'm in my third year of university. One tip: Go get coffee! This is the #1 way in my experience to just sit down and talk with someone about whatever, without being pressured into anything super organized. Find a local coffee shop with good reviews, order a good beverage, find a comfy table, and jus...

I don't go to college parties. However, I go to (probably louder) dance music concerts. I don't stand in the front rows, because that's where all the insane drunks are. I prefer to get a spot in the middle of the floor or in the balcony. I tend to go with up to 10 of my friends that go to concerts.....

I'm the exact opposite. I purposefully bought a light, techie-oriented backpack (http://www.booqbags.com) so that I would have a LIGHT load in college. I usually only carry around my laptop/charger (all my books are ebooks and I type all my notes), a few writing utensils, and one light folder for pa...
