I am not sure where to post this. I am not trying to make money or anything, just trying to help people out. For 6 years now, I have ran an autism empowerment group in Southern California. I also have a blog and YouTube channel, and I want to do my best to reach out and help out as many people as po...

Hi everyone, Three days are left for this film's Kickstarter. So far, $20,000 has been pledged towards the goal. The film team still has a long way to go. Any help is appreciated whether a financial contribution or sharing on your Facebook feedback or even mentioning the documentary in your blog. Th...

Sounds pretty cool.

Definitely cuting it a bit close, and its gonna be an uphill battle.

But sure why not. hopefully more will want to help.

Btw if people dont know kickstarter, they dont actually draw any money from your account unless the project succeeds, so you dont risk anything.

Thanks!

Hi everyone, I am in a documentary called Autism in Love, and it has been quite the journey. I have actually written a couple of entries about that here and here also . Needless to say, this has been in production for a year and a half and has been filming for four months now. But, without help and ...

First, my mom gave birth to me. After that, they instilled various belief systems into me about society, politics, our culture, education, employment, what it means to be human, etc. Some of these ideas are deeply ingrained into me. Some of them I have overcome. For the ones I overcome, I realize th...

You might have autism. I do the stimming with my fingers as well. Though not the point that my fingers hurt. As far as understanding what people are saying and emotions, that sounds like a delay of some sort. While for the most part, I don't have a processing delay, some of my group members do. I se...

For many people, politics is very personal. It usually represents an aspect of who they are and some of their deepest belief systems. Some people believe in abortion. Some don't. Some believe in Gay Marriage. Some don't. So, politics is about issues really important to people and that can cause them...

Some people say one thing and mean something else entirely. I find it odd though that he has been telling you a lot lately that he doesn't want to date you. Maybe he is trying to convince himself. Maybe he does like his girlfriend and likes you too. Or, maybe, you're right. I'm not sure. These thing...

Essentially, he was hitting on you. If it made you uncomfortable, you should have said something. By not saying anything, that means he thinks he can get away with it in the future. Do you have feelings for him?

I think you should try and join another Aspie group if one is somewhere around you. I think you need some time away from each other. At least a couple of months. Maybe you can try joining some other group activity that interests you. I got into LARPing recently. You might want to look into it. I hav...

If you saw a movie together, then that might mean that he likes you. You can compliment his character. Maybe he is a kind person. You can tell him that he is very kind. You could even go further and say that you find kindness attractive. Just a thought.

You should set a goal and work towards achieving that goal. You can even make going to a college a goal by researching scholarships and grants. Or, maybe you want to start something positive in community. It doesn't really matter what the goal is, but try and make it something big and something that...

Hard to answer. I wouldn't say that I cared when I was younger. I wanted to be a part of a larger picture but at the same time I wanted to change the world i.e. make it conform to how I thought the world should be. I would say that until my first romantic relationship I was a pretty selfish person t...

I wanted a girlfriend as a teen, but I was always attracted to outgoing girls because I was too shy to approach any girls. So, an autistic girl would have been shy, and I would have been shy and afraid of rejection. But, maybe someone else with HFA felt differently which is what my diagnosis is.

I used to do this until I realized that chipping my teeth was quite painful. I would do this when I was overwhelmed with stress or feeling very anxious. Often in uncomfortable social settings I would do this like having lunch at school and having to sit next to people.
