Behave, take a lot of notes and study hard. You do need them because education is going to help you with your future.

There are too many people on anti-depressants when in reality depression can be a wonderful thing as it tells us something is wrong and encourages us to seek solutions... Other people's misery helps others? I detect schadenfreude. Giftorcurse, I meant it tells us (i.e. the person feeling depressed)...

I don't get your humor and find your way with words utterly bizarre and incoherent. Nice to meet you.

Pandora Box, you're worse than an ignorant physician, quick to dismiss the true remedy, whilst all the while prescribing your own erroneous remedy which only aggravates the symptoms.

Giftorcurse, you probably need Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a lot of prayer.

PS Pandora_Box, God loves you.

An individual's self-worth comes from God, their ability to reflect His Attributes (e.g. Kindness, Compassion, Mercy, Knowledge), and their capacity to Love Him. Attaching regard to anything else, be it money, popularity, etc. then the self-esteem suffers, because ultimately none of these things ar...

I sympathize with you. I know you can find the strength and get through this. However low your opinion of yourself right now, God created you out of His Love and He has great plans for you. Sometimes calamities can seem like fire and vengeance, when inwardly they are light and mercy, but it's only ...

Kinda. I have a gmail account where I e-mail myself these thoughts on an almost daily basis. This helps me to see how they relate to one another and slowly the big picture emerges. I'm soon going to rewrite the theory of evolution and make Dawkins look like an idiot. It will be epic.

Sorry. Such obvious self promotion irritates me.

How is asking the 'Alcohol' thread to discuss alcohol instead of memoirs a form a self-promotion?

Back to topic. So those of you who do drink alcohol in social situations, do you find it reduces the symptoms of AS? A large part of our problems are related to difficulty forming appropriate social relationships. Also, we have a tendency to use our intellect rather than intuition to navigate social...

Do any AS people drink alcohol in social situations? If so why, and how does it affect you?

A lot of people who don't drink for religious reasons have exceptions where alcohol can be used for medical reasons. I'm wondering whether autism might come under this category. :?:

Makes sense I guess. The name 'Asperger's' will probably still be used for a long time though (sort of like how malaria's name hasn't changed despite people realizing over a hundred years ago that it wasn't caused by mal-air/bad air).
