I don't mind, "How are you?" and, "What's up?" I interpret those as greetings. My response is, "Good" or, "Not much" followed by, "How about you?" It's a bit wordy for a greeting, but I don't find it annoying. I also don't mind very specific questions, like, "What did you eat for breakfast this morn...

I've trained myself to chew my tongue instead, which is not so bad for the teeth. Do you have starlings for pets? I would like to learn more.
