As I thought we were supposed to be social distancing? They were mentioning on out TV that there maybe restrictions for internet use due to the virus. How do we know if we are not supposed to use the internet? On the contrary, we are being encouraged to use the Internet at the moment to keep in con...

Thanks for your help, everyone. I emailed her today with my concerns and got a reply saying she did know of another qualified practitioner and could refer me to her, so I asked her to do that.

I was recently referred to the local Asperger's service (in south-west London) after getting a referral from my GP. I had a 2hr "information gathering" talk with someone who works for the service at a local clinic last Tuesday, who then referred up the chain to his boss, a "Practitioner Psychologist...

However this no longer rings true, as I would rather have the pain of a broken bone than the agony of a period, but I have never had a broken bone before , so all I could compare period pain to was childbirth before, and it's always going to be less painful than that. Not necessarily. Not all child...

Just an update. I saw the doctor this evening and explained everything. He said he'd refer me to an endocrinologist because there are things that need to be monitored when taking this kind of medication. I told him why I was approaching him for this, i.e. that it's expensive and there's the risk of ...

Just a small note, antiandrogens won't necessarily kill your sex drive altogether. It is largely a case by case thing, Androcur is also very hard on the liver.

Yes, that last point is exactly why I chose DP (although Androcur - even in the generic form Siterone - is more than double the price).

I don't have that problem. But then again, I'm female, so maybe it's a guy thing? However, I do have a lot of difficulty going #2 anywhere except my own home. I've always been that way and I have no idea why. Peeing in front of anyone else is a guy thing, so of course you wouldn't have that problem...

I have done since I was a teenager. There was an incident where someone pushed me as I was peeing at a public urinal, but perhaps it was just the usual changes of adolescence where you become more body-aware and all that. Nowadays I won't pee in public because I can't expose that part of my body for...

I've had a look in an old copy of the BNF (book used by UK doctors which lists medicines they can prescribe and for what). It only refers to depo-provera (medroxyprogesterone acetate) in relation to female contraception. It does say that for severe male hypersexuality cyproterone acetate (androcur)...

Hi everyone, I'm new here and I'm currently seeking a diagnosis of Asperger's - I went to my GP a couple of weeks ago and he agreed to refer me. I have to see my GP next Wednesday for other reasons. I've been self-medicating with depo-provera since the middle of last year (which you can order from o...

take a anti-depressant. thats a total sex drive killer right there That's true for some people, not others, and applies to some medications and not others. If you specifically want to reduce your sex drive, you'll need some kind of anti-hormone treatment, such as depo-provera or cyproterone acetate...
