My 4 1/2 year old usually has a story memorized after two or three readings. If you make the slightest mistake he is quick to correct you. You don't realize how poorly people read until they read a story to my son. :)

I'm a teacher and I have an aspie in one of my classes. He has an aide with him and it has done wonders for him academically! He is in 7th grade and made the honor roll for the first time! I guess we were pretty lucky in how everything came about for us. We started speech at 20 months and that got the ball rolling.
