Scotland might be the new place for Aspies. They have free healthcare and are very understanding of special needs. Plus they are about to go independent and become a new nation. I live in Scotland. Support for people with autism varies depending on where you live. We call it the post code lottery w... |

I can only tell if someone is 1) happy, 2) sad, 3) angry. All the other subtle stuff in the middle I can't read at all, so my mind just says, "danger! watch out!" Anyone know what I mean? I'm the same, it is quite scary to know that there's so much information right in front of you that you can't s... |

Again, I didn't quite know where to put this topic. I'm adopted and I was just wondering if any other aspies or possible aspies have been adopted and raised by their adoptive parents. Yes I went through foster care until I was 6 then been with my adoptive parents since. I get asked a lot am I inter... |

Recently I've been on a generally high protein, low carb diet. By generally I mean I stick to the diet as a whole but if I want a McDonalds or to go for a beer I'll do it without worrying about the additional carbs. The diet was aimed at losing weight; which has been coming down slowly but I've noti... |

I want to diet to minimise my symptoms of aspergers but don't know where to start. I've read that gluten free diets can help those on the spectrum but all the information I read is about children and no adults seem to be reporting that it works for them. Does anyone on here follow the gluten free di... |

I was in foster care from almost birth and don't know my biological parents. So I'm the only person on the spectrum in my adopted family. I guess this is why I've just accepted I'm autistic and not considered how I came to have it.....I just do. |

A friend of mine has been under stress lately and has developed a stutter. We were at their house yesterday and as the night went by I found I too began stuttering. It was quite embarrassing  as it could have been seen as taking the piss had it not been close friends! I've known for a while th... |

Seems to be the way to go then. It's only fair on them too because they should know I'm not going to change. If it's a problem for them then we can distance ourselves and nobody will get hurt. Logical. How should I approach it? There's about 5 friends I want to tell. Can I just bring it up or do I h... |

I am new to forums but here goes. I'm 30 year old and have aspergers with anxiety and elements of adhd. I was only diagnosed 4 years ago but haven't done anything about it because well you get the diagnosis then get sent on your merry way without any support. In a way I was too busy trying to cope w... |

I have a huge problem with abandonment. I've lost 3 very close friends this year alone as a result. One just mailed me saying I am so needy and clingy that it freaks everyone out so they don't want anything more to do with me  I didn't realise this until they mailed me. If they'd approached me ... |
