My daughter is 13 and she is being picked on by the other girls. I think they are a lot meaner to her than she thinks, because she misses the cues and can't tell if people are being nice and like her or if they are being mean and catty. I told her to stop talking to them. She says they are being nic... |

your daughter has to qualify for a one on one aide if she is diagnosed and has so much difficulty. it is up to you to fight for it, threaten legal action. that may light the fire under their butts. i had issues like this with my son. what a pain. we should not have to fight tooth and nail to get the... |

yes, the ratio is important or at least that's what the psychiatrist said when she suggested it. she said that the EPA should be at least double the DHA and that i could give him a total amount of 1500mg. i started it two days ago in two of my kids. no difference yet. I am using Jamieson Omega-3 CAL... |

i know how frustrating it is to deal with a school that just won't listen. i moved so my kids are at new schools. i gave the school a list of things my step-son would need to be successful in school based on the previous year. they brushed it all off and didn't want to provide any of it. now they ar... |

my daughter has a stuffy she takes everywhere with her. she is twelve now and he 'waits' for her at the office in her school while she is in class and has for the last two years. before that he went into class with her. i see no reason not to allow it, provided the toy is neither noisy or dangerous ... |

it is better to find out now and start the testing process than to find out when the problems start to come out more and then be stuck waiting for evaluations when you should be taking action. |

I think my post was not explained well enough. My boyfriend said that my son kicked him. He didn't actually kick him. His feet touched his leg. Children tend to do this. I've never gotten upset with a child for doing that sort of thing to me. That would be incredibly inappropiate. The issue I am ha... |

probably best to get a diagnosis from someone who is more qualified. a gp can make the diagnosis but a psych type doctor might get a more accurate diagnosis, or a pediatritian who specializes in the area. if the school has record of her issues they may be able to recommend someone who works with the... |

she might want a diagnosis to help her get funding for things as she gets older and so that exceptions can be made for her if the need be. in my case a diagnosis was necessary because of the severity of the symptoms and the services required to get my kids to be successful at school, not to mention ... |
