Just about everybody I have met I know or suspect has Aspergers I actually find very difficult to get along with. A curiously large amount of them seem to regard me as a role model of sorts and start following me around when I usually like being left alone, and I end up hating them. It's very depres...

I actually looked at the page and it turned out it's a modern replica (or at least made in the style of medieval armour) and the maker specialises in Japanese armour but also does Persian and Chinese (the picture was next to this paragraph but is not captioned - looking at it more closely, I think i...

I know about surcoats and kilts, but what I was thinking of more was ankle or floor length garments. I did happen to find an image somewhere of some chinese armour with a long skirt, so assuming it is not ceremonial, it could be a realistic idea... That thing about the cloak martial arts sounds inte...

Asexual heteroromantic, I think. Maybe Grey-A, but I feel much more comfortable considering myself as asexual that heterosexual.

I wasn't sure whether to put this under the writing subforum or this, but since it crops up in movies a lot I thought I might get better responses here... Basically, I have noticed that in fantasy films, a lot of characters have epic sword fight battles in clothing which looks like really bad clothi...

Hello, for a school assignment I am studying the topic of how consequentialism affects society, and apparently it is necessary to do some sort of interview/questionnaire/survey (which I find a bit mystifying considering the topic of a philosophy), so out of shyness I am doing, well, this thread. The...

I have only recently decided that I am probably asexual (heteroromantic). I'm not totally sure of that because I have had crushes and I like the idea of cuddling, kissing and maybe even making out, but the concept of actually having sex is totally uninteresting to me and I find it mildly disturbing....

I just did a bit of research, and I have decided that I may actually be asexual but capable of sensual attraction, or perhaps grey-asexual...

Thanks for the advice, people. I figured most people would say things like what has been said here, but I just get hopeful... Anyway, we don't really have much of a bond at present, because both of us are extremely shy and cannot really say anything to one another other than a mumbled 'hi' every tim...

I have an imaginary world that has proved instrumental in maintaining my mental stability. It is a bizarre conglomeration of every book I have read, every movie I have seen, every game I have played, et cetera with a distinct focus on a fantasy-genre world containing numerous races of anthropomorphi...

Hi, I'm a heterosexual male and I've had the misfortune to fall in love with a lesbian. She is really the sweetest and nicest person I have ever met and (aside from her being lesbian) she has all the qualities of my ideal girlfriend (I don't know her terribly well but there's nothing I don't like ab...

That they cannot accept or remember what they did doesn't mean they didn't hurt someone. A metaphor: a very sleepy man gets in a car and drives home from a friends house. Swerves across the center line and hits another car, killing the driver of opposite vehicle. Didn't realize how tired he was, ca...

No, it has been three days and no emails... Ah well, at least I tried. No doubt this issue will crop up again at school next year... It is strange. I no longer feel depressed like I have for two or so years, or happy like I was for the last couple of months, just... empty. I think it is now because ...

In ancient Rome marriages were arranged. In ancient Rome there were a huge number of divorces. I am not sure, but I think that, at older ages, when one's parents were dead, there was more personal choice in these matters (I'm thinking of Ovid here writing creepy stuff on girls at the races, dunno if...

I'm not going to quote that massive post... But if a girl WAS into you, even if neither of you were particularly close, surely she would respond quite positively to a confession of feelings? My ideal method so far (this is the first time I have asked a girl out by the way) is to appear romantic, in ...

I hate to be the bringer of bad news and one who destroys hopes and dreams, and I don't want to sound pompous, but I can tell you, as someone who used to think and act as you are doing up until the beginning of this year, that you are going about things the wrong way. The first problem is you telli...
