I did this a bit involuntarily with one girl; for a while I was really depressed, so periodically I'd be unable to stand talking to people for a week or two and would avoid her. I found out later that this had stirred her interest in me somewhat. More generally, I find that people appreciate my com...

Drakeman wrote I've had some problems with this in the past, and it happened so frequently I began to not care about it. I totally agree it makes absolutely no sense and it shouldn't even be sociably acceptable by some standards, but Interlocking just sumed it up perfectly. In my opinion, if they j...

Aspies are human too. They have the same wants, needs, drives and passions.

That said, Aspies do the SAME thing when they find a group situation that they are comfortable with. They shun, ignore and censor poeple they don't like or whom they don't want to like or be associated with them.

They're simultaneously one of the most over-rated bands ever and one of the best bands ever. What they lacked in technical skill they compensated for in artistic vision. One of the main reasons why there has never been another band like them is that they exploited a small window of democracy in the...

I think that there are actually more aspies/HFA's who lean to the right, but they are usually older, more experienced, and more reserved about their opinions. I think that younger ones take a leftist view for the same reason that most younger NTs do. Much of their worldview is determined by what the...

I was irritated during the Massacre in Rwanda when it was happening. The media simply reported it in real-time as "oh well, glad we're not them". Change the time ten years, a major Tsunami happens, and we have Clinton and Both Bush's pleading for public support, religious and secular groups pouring ...

Why is it whenever I hear "What's goin' on" by Four Non Blondes I start singing "Don't Worry, Be Happy"? "Black Hole Sun" sounds like "In My Life" by The Beatles, but with an Electric Guitar. I NEVER made that connection until you mentioned it. I could never pin it down, but BHS does have a similar ...

Talking heads becuase I really think Byrne is an aspie. He's not a fashion scenester (like the cure), not contemporary (like Radiohead) and very much lives in his own world. In the 80's MTV big shots treated him like they do Peter Gabriel. They didn't really understand his art, but they pretended to...

NYC Ska is the absolute best new stuff coming out right now. King Django - Anything from Stubborn Records and Jump Up Records. I recently purchased the first release from Tri-State-Conspiracy, some of the best stuff in 10 years. Locally, we have Latin-Fusion Ska, particularly Los Skarnales. Get into...

They seemed to lose a little "umph" when they replaced Howe with Trevor Rabin, but they are one of the best bands on R&R history.
