I just never felt any connection or friendships with anyone in this community. Having trouble making friends with NT's is one thing. Having trouble making friends with Aspies is another thing. Maybe it's my fault for being a dull uninteresting jackass. I don't know. Goodbye all. Forget about me, if ... |

1. Anyone who'd shun me for being atheist I have no social interest in in the first place. 2. It's TOTALLY impossible to "deconvert" people if we don't TRY. I've done it several times- several people's world views and lives are different because I bothered to engage them in debate and discussion. 3... |

Reagan was a great president, revived the nation from its era of malaise and ended the Cold War. |

Could you date someone with a religion different from yours? For me, it depends. I am not religious, but I am not bitterly intolerant of anyone who is religious. I do not want the other person to impose their religion on me and I would never try to impose my non-belief on someone else. It's not that... |

How are your reasons different than most other beliefs? Being too outspoken politically can reduce one's social opportunities. Who wants to be friends with or even just do business with the guy who can only attack/defend Barack Obama? How about the person who rants about Platonism? Secondly, do mos... |

Lets say we go to Mars and we continue to find no life whatsoever, would there be anything wrong with terraforming the planet to be more habitable to human and other terrestrial life? What if a planet or planetoid has only bacteria, is it wrong to change that planet in a way that may kill off the b... |

I am an atheist and many of the people who are on WP are atheists as well. In my opinion, it's simply not worth it to fight religion. It's just something that we have to accept. It is simply best to ignore it and live your life rather than crusade against it. 1. Being outspokenly atheist can severel... |

Homeschooling certainly gives the student more free time, but will the free time be used for studying or doing otherwise productive things, or will it just be eaten up by video games and television? Socializing is not a problem. The child can always get involved in their community and join local ev... |

I've read it. It does provide an interesting point of view on social interaction and relating to people. It's not the end-all-be-all that the title suggests, but I agree that it is a worthy read. I agree, it is not the end-all solution. It's helpful. The reward doesn't come in reading it. It comes ... |

Laz: One of the main points of the book is to serve the interests of the people who you want to serve your interests; mutuality. Carnegie never expressed directly or indirectly that you need to be servile or "kiss up" to gain friends. Sweetleaf: You can't judge a book simply by its title. The words ... |

One of my favorite books. I highly recommend that everybody who has Autism or Aspergers should read it (or listen to the audiobook).
It can significantly help your social skills, as it has done for me. |
