@ Whirlingmind: Yes people from any country can take the survey. @ Kirayng: sorry about that, the age requirements are stated on the first page of the survey though. Nonetheless I appreciate your interest and your participation! I'll be posting the results of the study up when it is finished so hope... |

@ Raziel: Thanks for taking the survey! I'm planning on posting some of my findings here when I'm done :) @ cherrycoke: A lot of the questions looking at special interests are asking if they make you feel better to pursue them. If you feel you don't have a special interest, or that your special inte... |

@ COMPAQ: I understand your concern and appreciate the steps you take to not get deceived by fraud. It's actually quite impressive the steps you take (and I quite agree with the steps you take). I'm interested to know more about this specific fraud case (I always find them interesting), did the pers... |

@ COMPAQ: I didn't think to add a comment textbox at the end of the survey, though it's a good idea. I'll include one in the future. It can be hard though to incorporate what people write in text into the analysis though, as most studies in psychology are run through statistical analyses, hence the ... |

Thanks Rascal77s, I think WP is an important and useful resource for individuals with ASD. I see a lot of people posting on these forums for support and advice, and so I didn't think twice about including it as a resource for people to access. |

I do like online surveys, this looks like something potentially interesting to participate in...I don't have an official diagnoses of aspergers but I strongly suspect I have it as did my last therapist and my sisters the one who brought it up to me, I said I have one of depression but I am not 100%... |

Hi Rascal77s, Yes as part of the literature review chapters of my PhD I had to review some neurology of ASD, including the Amygdala as it is extremely important for emotional processing. As for the Amygdala in ASD, research is a bit mixed. Studies looking at children with ASD typically show enlarged... |

Hi CrazyCatLord, Yes unfortunately it is restricted to that age bracket. I think there may be differences between this age bracket and ages above 40 so it may invalidate my data. I do however appreciate your willingness to participate! When you're doing a study it can be hard to get willing particip... |

Yeah I wasn't sure.. I looked around to see where researchers in the past had posted their research on the forum and they seem to post it on topics that the research is relevant to. As you said I'm sure it'll be moved if it needs to. Thanks for helping me out! |

Hi ocdgirl123,

The survey itself and the system where you enter your email address are on two different systems to further ensure that responses are anonymous. |

Firstly I hope this is the right section, I couldn't find a section that was specific to the topic :/ I'm an adult with Asperger syndrome and I am studying my PhD at the University of Queensland, looking at emotion regulation in adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorder... |

Lol it's funny how even if we know we should follow an instruction, and even if it's in our best interests, we can get such an urge to just do the opposite because someone told us to do the former action rudely.
At least the girl realised she was rude by apologising. |
