There is a mixed blessing to homeschooling - the lack of other children.

This might initially solve any bullying issues or relieve social uncomfortableness,
but by removing these the child will never learn to deal with them.
So it is removing the symptom not the problem.

Good work on trying to find out. Please excuse me if this is too personal a question, but it might be helpful: He is probably in your school program because he has AS, why are you in your school program? Perhaps you have some common ground with him, that will help you understand him. As for using AS...

Same for me. It's quite annoying, because sometimes I like to mostly listen and only say a little, but then this is difficult because the first few words are not clear, and they are most of the words.

Men are aggressive, they start fights without provocation, just like dogs, they'll run up and bite somebody without that person having done something to deserve it. Women and cats act out only when they are provoked. That's one reason I'm a woman/cat person. That’s quite a large generalisation. Par...

Check out the wikipedia page on empathy, they have some good definitions of it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empathy I like this one: "The capacity to know emotionally what another is experiencing from within the frame of reference of that other person, the capacity to sample the feelings of another...

I really hated english as well. I had a terrible teacher and the subject material wasn't that great to begin with. But, I think you should try to avoid dropping/failing it. Later in your life, when you are trying to get a job or seeking further education, a lack of a decent English qualification wil...

Good advice MrMark. Not only will it make you feel better while you're planning it, it'll help later: Knowing that you have somewhere to retreat to will reduce the stress. Things sometimes become more tolerable when know you don't have to tolerate them.

Flogic - Flawed Logic
Clogic - Circular Logic (an example of flogic)

I think you should carefully word your enquiry, and without being agressive (i.e. attacking his teachingn style), you should try to find out why he thinks this is a question which has a 'right' answer. Maybe something like: "I was pleased with my grade, but I am a little confused about the question....

What do you mean by evolved?

I ask because you probably are not using it in the correct scientific sense, since women & men are the two genders of the same species, and therefore (in my understanding) can't evolve seperately.

I basically see developing social skills as being done through memorization: Memorize different expressions and cues, step by step. Probably no different from memorizing algebraic formulas, the dates of various events, or the names of locations on a world map. I think some of social interaction can...
